Hi teejay, how's my old arkie buddie?
One time we put some mayonnaise in the bottom of some young brother's ice cream. Then we topped it off with some strawberry topping! Everything was fine till he hit that mayo. Those two tastes are diametrically opposed to each other!
He NEVER forgave us.

Holy Sh*t! An 8 day assembly! I thought the 3 day ones were bad...and I only ever attended 2 days of THEM! Good Lordie..that must have been terrible! By the end of those 8 days you must've felt like you'd been released from prison or something!
The earlier in the forenoon you take the sun bath, the greater will be the beneficial effect, because you get more of the ultra-violet rays, which are healing. - The Golden Age
One of my favorite "assembly food" memories is of my father and another brother making chili at the Grand River assembly hall in Detroit. They didn't realize that after putting all of the ingredients in the huge pan, they needed to STIR it during the cooking process. Once they were informed of this, they discovered several inches of shall we say, hardened sediment at the bottom. Of course, it would have been ingrateful and disobedient to waste any food, so they zealously insured that they broke up the sediment and mixed it in with the rest.
Burnt beans, anyone? :p

I used to like the burritos.. me and my friend thought it was funny that the menu said "SWEET ROLL CAKE PIE * tickets" (can't remember the exact amount).. we would go up and say I'll have a "sweet roll cake pie".. frozen OJ.. fruit bags when I was little.. The sessions were almost bearable when you had snacks under your chair to dip into..
