    Christfollower, Mazing, et al,

It's the shoddy, self-serving WT reasoning that's appalling here, and should unsettle any sincere JW that cedes is own reasoning power to these fellows.

First, the business about ``mediator''' only used in connection with a covenant.. absolute nonsense. Don't these fellows realize that a word can have many definitions, generic and specialized? What about a labor mediator? Any JW who speaks a Latin-based language such as Italian and Spanish has heard many prayers uttered, offered and closed with ``mediante Gesu/Jesus.''

If one mindlessly applies WT locgic, why woudl there be any need at all for the Other Sheep to offer their prayers THROUGH (or ``mediante'') Jesus?

Also interesting in the segment of WT drivel that BlueBrothers cites above, note that the text refes to ``two destinies,'' avoiding the expression ``two hopes'' a transparent ploy to avoid a clash with the clear statement of `one hope' in Ephesians 4:4.

This is yet another example of how JWs brainlessly give opponents another stick with which to thrash them.

suffice to say Will Power ,I was too busy being the heathen and worshiping the gods of rock n roll to be a jw so therefore have never been through the baptism in 85 or any other time. However I was related to jw and did take an interest in religion which is why I even bother to reply to posts such as this one .I wasn't even aware of the fact they were baptizing in the name of the org.I did notice that they were off base on some issues such as this one.Their belief that all people in the first century that converted to christianity were of the anointed remnant of the Isreal of god is a teaching that I'm formilar with and find argumentative ,I do not believe that women will serve as kings and priests in the heavenly kingdom and was accused of apostasy over the issue even though I was never a jw only a book study.Of course their argument was that spirit creatures do not have a sexual identity and thus gave them reasoning that it is part of gods plan ,which I find totally ludicrous.Back to the topic ,I have noticed another scripture which suggests that jesus is the mediator for the whole world(1john-2:1-3)
