I see this kind of action as a "getting back on the horse" and "dont let em see you sweat" kinda move. These guys would probably love to hide and so the Society says oh HELL no you get out there and show your sorry faces! We arent taking the hit for you. We arent going to hide you because you are too embarrassed to get out there. You cost us $23million and so we OWN you BITCHES! To not use them would indicate acceptance of guilt IMHO.

i don't think I agree with this statement. To not use them would just be good PR. any corprotation dealing with a subject as sensetive as this would keep the accused under the rug.
To use them is just burying their heads in the sand, just do nothing until this "all goes away"

In punitive damage awards, one is punished for shocking the conscience/blatent activity.
If the WTS attorney were to argue that it shouldn't be punished becuase it was remoreseful . . .a good attorney could try to work this into the argument. If not, the next time these jokers are up in court testifying . . . then an 'out of court' statement could be used to impeach their credibility.
