I have no brief for defending the JWs but it sits uncomfortably with me when people act out scenarios designed to frighten and unnerve the JWs. I'd be more impressed if these "true" comedians chose tougher targets - at least it would show they had "real" balls to go along with being "real comedians".

Same reason it's tactless to get a laugh at watching deaf people signing in ASL, or to laugh at "funny-looking" people with Downs running in Special Olympics, IMO. You're not going to win any class points by doing so, but some apparently don't agree....

Good grief....has JWN gone OTT politically correct all of a sudden? Should silly humour be banned? Lighten up folks. If someone is willing to make an ass of themselves and tell people about it...then LOL thats what this thread was about and it is funny in a kind of OMG I can't believe you did that kind of way.

If the WTS is going to promote stupid ideas and use really bad judgement as to how they promote their ridiculous beliefs....well...LOL

Life if too short to hold in laughter....I don't care if it is a tomatoe sauce bottle making a fart noise....if I want to laugh I fricking will.

Laugh people.....you ARE allowed. You won't go to hell or anything.

I can't even believe this. Bullying? Panic? Injury?

Look, these people were in public. If they were too fragile to be in public, then someone should take care of them. The fact of the matter is, pretending or not, we do run into disturbed people in public! I had my favorites, Downtown. They walked around muttering to themselves, sometimes yelling, talking to the sky, sometimes talking to me. It doesn't matter if it was genuine or not---IT HAPPENS.

Now if this would cause someone to panic and run into traffic, then they need to stay home! FFSMSSAKE---This time it was CF and he was playing. Next time it could be a person who really is disturbed. It makes no difference. Stepping out into public means you need to handle unexpected behavior.

    Sheesh.

People who cut you down for this, would likely go the opposite direction when they see JWs in public. Personally, I enjoy this sort of fun at the expense of the self righteous JWs.

I think Americans are quite fond of prctical jokes at peoples expense, more so than the Brits. In New York City a guy drew some pleasure fom telling me the wrong way to go as a tourist, but also then subsequently had to follow me along the way making laughing noises and then lookig in the other direction when I looked round.

I'm American. I've never purposely given a stranger bad directions. That's not funny. Idiots abound in every society. No need to make it an American thing.

    Ya Steve,

Smoke a spliff and get laid. You sound pretty wound up and about someone else just having a little fun.

I nominate Steve as the president of PETAJOW (People for the ethical treatment of Jehovah's Witnesses)

DISCLAIMER: NO JW'S WERE HURT IN THE CREATION OF THIS JOKE.
