Is your life better off as a Witness or exjw now than before?

Is your life better off in the last few years economically?

I'm MUCH better off now. Economy -wise, the same, a wee bit better. But Conscience-wise, I am freed from those doubts that were torturing me. It cost me a lot (my family) to stand up for my understanding, as I had to admit to myself, and come out as an Atheist. But I'm happier, free, and it made me more grateful for the life I have. The strength of truth and honest quest.

A nightmare. I don,t know how I did it. Meeting attendance,

preparing for parts in the meetings, preparing for the talk for

Sundays, conducting the field service group, four kids, two

jobs (one on the night shift). Average 5hrs sleep for years

until my doctor told me to slow up.

When people stop going to meetings, they start feeling better.

    What a coincidence!

yes. even though i've been 'out of it' for a long while now, i didn't find out about 607bce, all of the crazy shit they taught, etc...until a few months ago. i just fell out, decided it wasn't the truth and that it was killing me and that i'd rather give up paradise and everlasting life than to serve god.

economically, not too bad anymore. not working a fulltime night job/fulltime day job and going to school while attending meetings was too much, especially in the emotional state i was in. no more meetings and bs = more time to relax, enjoy life, or...actually be productive

Its astounding what a bit of education, determination and research can do for your life.

I look at JWs and just feel so sorry for them now. Their one chance at life, spent working for free on behalf of a publishing company, the smell of an invisible carrot of all human concerns resolved, dangled in front of their nose.... Impossible to ever taste or experience.... It doesnt even exist.

All that advertising work they do for nothing more than a pyramid scheme of power, the more you put into the publishing company, the more authority yo get in its lower rankings. The more you give, the more power you have to police the giving of others.

Its just so sad. Probably the worst thing to observe now, is just how many young kids are being taken out of school. Doomed to menail work and low pay because of this nonsense. If they ever get out, their lives are still gonna be real tough. I am amazed at how many middle aged and younger couples are on welfare amongst the JWs nowadays. What a destructive life. For the sake of me and my family, I cant tell you how much better it is to be out.

Definitely better now. More time for my family and I. Changed jobs, though it had not to do with being or not being a jw, which was for the better.
