I haven't fully left yet, but now that I am fading I have been less stressed out and happier. The mental anguish I felt if I didn't go out in service or give my all to "God's Organization" no longer exists. I am now finding friends that are not conditional towards my beliefs. I am looking forward to actually celebrating me and my wife's birthdays this upcoming year.
We "clink" coffee cups in bed as we read the paper every Sunday morning :P
Minimus:
All around I am better off but especially with regard to being that much further away from the religion.
economically yes

Whoosier: First of all welcome. Question, "in a Physical and
mental solitary confinment." Explain. I don,t know how long you
have been lurking, but there is a ton of information here. People
who has walk the path that you are going thru now. There is some
comfort in knowing you are not alone. When I came out (1987) I
really thought I was only exJW, nothing like what,s available to day.
Do what is best for you, if it is making you ill then you should think
about it.
(Welcome Whoosier)
Economically about the same. Mentally and emotionally MUCH better off. The stress of trying to live up to unattainable standards is gone. No more forcing myself to go to meetings. Wonderful to have control of my life and sleep in on the weekends. Can get in my 'jammies' after supper and relax. ahhh, life is grand -Leslie-
Since I left the JWs? Better.
