Very sad that he would take this route.....but I know what he was feeling myself being df'd.....suffered in the past from depression and now a grateful recovering alcoholic.

I've just googled him. Don't come on here anymore really and deleted all the ex jws from my facebook a couple of years ago (for my own sanity), so this is news to me.
Eric had some kind words for me when I was battling my demons with alcohol and ex jw related ones, we spoke on a number of occasions about alcoholism. He seemed torn with the JW issues, but always would appear upbeat and I always thought one day he would get through it all and come out stronger the other side. Then of course was his accident which must have been devastating, but I always thought he'd pull through.
It's always so sad to see these things. This guy had a big heart and underneath those demons he struggled with was a good man, anyone could see that.
I feel so sad, it's such a waste.

I haven't posted here in a couple of years at least, and just popped in to see what's new. I saw the thread about his cat and had to look into it. I'm so damn upset to see that he ended his own life.
Rest in peace Oompa.

That is really sad...I've been to this forum since 2001 and he was one of my favorite posters...although I don't come very often, like I used to, still this forum will be different without him...

Can't stop crying...I'm reading the messages that he send me...he was such a nice and carring guy and he seemed strong. Two of my best friends killed themselves, due to WT...now another one was added on the list....I just hate WT...
