Black Sheep - you are so right. But ya know what is so convenient for JWs? If you bring up a gross contradiction in a talk or symposium you've heard.....they'll say...."well that was just one brother who got off topic.....it wasn't in print so it didn't come from the FDS". Yet....if the JW hears something he likes from the stage....well now THAT is to be taken as gospel! I don't recall the topic now....but many years ago new light was revealed at a CA. I brought out afterward that it isn't in print. I was looked at like I had a 3rd eyeball. You could see the thought bubbles above everyone's heads saying "but the brother just said it from the STAGE at an assembly that is being directed by Jehovah!"
Any idea when "New Light" offically in print or explained 2 RnF???

Don't they have those KM schools coming up? Maybe they'll tell the elders first, swear them to secrecy, and then tell the R&F later.

I have had to restrain myself from talking about this nooolite until it is published. I am however dropping hints to my family like.....
"it seems as if the Governing Body is directing an awful lot of attention to themselves over the past several years"
"The only thing that makes sense about the FDS doctrine is that the apostles were part of the FDS in the 1st century, their works clearly showed that God was behind them" ; "Now with the pedophile scandal its hard to imagine that God is directing the organization"
"it seems as if the GB are just making things up as they go along, the more things change the more they stay the same"

cobaltcupcake good point! I don't recall MS shools for the Overlap Gen/New Light, was there? Didn't they kinda just sneak that one in? Has there been other where the WTS felt a need for MS school instruction for the masses?
I would think this will be a big deal, with a big buzz? It's not like there's a lot going on in JW land......

A friend of mine said it was even mentioned at the CA he just went to.

I recieved a typical JW forward with the "annual meeting notes".
I think it was the same one that was copy and pasted here in one of the threads. That alone will get most JWs believing it, although they will wait for it to be in print.
Question: how many JWs will just say "that's not new, they were always the FDS?"

I like SIAMs approach, simply voicing out loud a little cognitive-dissonance that foreshadows/anticipates the expected "New Light"!
How 'bout this one:
I keep thinking about the QFR in the August 15th, 2011 issue of The Watchtower. It really has me confused!?! How can the "collective anointed" around the world be part of the FDS if the GB doesn't even know who they are and have no contact with them? It just doesn't make any sense to me!!!
"We thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know. The Governing Body does not keep a list of all partakers, for it does not maintain a global network of anointed ones." - Question From Readers, w2011 8/15 p. 22 - Emphasis added

@ stuckinamovement "it seems as if the Governing Body is directing an awful lot of attention to themselves over the past several years"
In the past I've told family members many times, issues I have with the Governing Body setting themselves up even above Christ. Though family is sticking to their guns, I know in back of their minds a little red flag goes up every so often.....with GB worship and GT not arriving

I heard a rumour that something about it was going to be published in the Jan 15th Watchtower, but obviously that hasn't happened.
There have been plenty of instances where JWD/N posters have brought up rumours they have heard here with their JW families and nothing has happened.
That has never happened to me.
As long as you keep right up to date, there is plenty of time between official release and when your JWs find out about it to get in and get them to argue against the upcoming reforms or doctrinal changes.
The time between hearing the rumour and seeing it in print is unpredictable and should be used for doing your homework, not for sticking your head up for your Dubs to play Wack-a-Mole.
Once your Dubs have successfully defended the current Lite, it is really nice be able slap them with the new litterature before they get time to blank out the conversation.

Agreed. Right now try to get your Dubs to vigorously defend that the "Annointed" are the F&DS, then when (if) the GB pulls the rug out from under that position later... bazinga. Being embarrased by their spiritual food providers will create some of that wonderful cognitive dissonance.
