I've just read a whole thread where Cedars started a topic about Watchtower's litigation response in the Condi case..
and it was hit by a Mac Truck of ridicule and spun out of control.....Terry
It was ridiculas claims propped up with Partial Quotes..

But would that be actual ridicule, Sab, or are you thinking of gentle fun, or satire, or even teasing? I would have thought that ridicule always contained an element of cruelty, mockery or scorn.

Intent.
Debate: The intent is to consider both sides, ignoring no evidence presented by either side until the truth becomes clear.
Ridicule: The intent is to make your side appear superior and correct by any means necessary, including deception, circular reasoning and personal attacks.
A true debate would be identified by the absence of ridicule in any form. That is my opinion.
