    Marilyn,

: We have the Photo Drama too,

Duane Magnani told me about three years ago that a complete, original Photo Drama can bring up to $20,000. I sold mine in 1968 or so to a JW who sent me about $50 for it.

Tallyman - I checked the few that I have left and I do not have "Does God Care.

    Judith,

    SHUCKS!

    Well, thanks for looking.

That one, "Does God Really Care About Us?" - copyright 1992
is proving to be VERY elusive.

I'm thinking that the printing must have been a small one,
or the WT is recalling it, to throw it out, because it contains
a picture that is proving embarrassing to them:

There has been email challenging that the picture is a Fake,
that the Watchtower would never publish horrible pics like that...
so, you see, I need backing, the original document, to "prove" it.

I have the original WT pubs for most of the other pics in my Gallery.

Anyone out there have a copy of this brochure you want to sell?
    Let's do lunch.

I've never actually had the opportunity to see anything predating, oh, about 1976 or so. Those sort of books were censored at my last KH, probably with good reason, too.

    Pity.

It would have been an eye-opener had they actually been there, but then, history is written by the winners, isn't it?

I have ALL the Watchtower publications g oing back to the 1800s. I keep everything in my basement on shelves, one big room. Where I do my personal studies. When JW's come over and deny they ever said anything or printed "such-and-such" I take them into the study, and they eyes bulge out and I show them. Most are in denial even after I show them. I have never had the same Witness knock on my door twice.

The books are god for resaerch. I have known of many who throw them out, only to wish they had them again for witnessing purposes. If you want to make a few buck, put them on ebay. JW's and xJW's are always ready to buy Watchtower publications. I have made a few buck selling my extras.

    Hi Tally,

I have at least one copy of that brochure. I would like to see if I have another copy before I part with it though. When I moved everything got messed up and I can't find where I stashed "placement copies". But I did confirm that I have one in my library, neatly bound in an old "Awake" binder. It's in great shape. If you can't locate one somewhere else let me know. I'll photo copy it and keep the copy. You can have the original.

    Sean,
I've been looking and asking for that brochure for months,
and no luck. I was kicked out of the WatchtowercultClub in 1991/92
and do not have anything since, except for a few items.
AlanF snagged me a copy of "Proclaimers" recently.
What a treasure of Revisionist History. ;-)
    So,
I take you up on your offer right now.
    You want to sell it?
You want to trade something for it?
I have bunch of pre-1990s WT schtuff.
    What you need?
At very least, I could send you a self-addressed, pre-stamped large envelope.

    Let me know.

I also have a 'hard to find' copy of "Jehovah's Witnesses in the Divine Purpose". Isn't that an oxymoron??

I think I will sell it on eBay.

One of the posters mentioned the old books are no-no's or something like that? At our former KH, they had a complete library with all the old books, and old WT's too.

    Mulan:

I have previously been associated with a couple of Congs that had extensive libraries, including one that had 90% of both Mags from #1. However, old Lit was just for looks. However, if someone wanted to read more than a few pages to satisfy the occasional historical curiosity, the Elders would give them the third degree as to why. Most Elders know that the first overt sign of a "JW having doubts" is the reading/studying of Old Lit.

    TALLY:

    Are you overlooking the obvious?
The "God Cares" brochure is online.

I thinks it is not the sign of doubts but the cause for doubts when you read what was "shining light" back then and the confidence with which those "truths" were proclaimed and those attacked who did not agree.
