Perhaps Cofty if you and the same crowd stopped your tiresome habit of 'trying to destroy someone else's faith' Char wouldn't have the desire to scold?

I can't imagine not believing in God.... because eternity is in mens' hearts
even though God put within us a sense of wonder to understand eternity we'll never fully fathom all that God has done from beginning to end.
He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also put eternity in their hearts, but man cannot discover the work God has done from beginning to end.
One of the most interesting things is the way you, Cofty, and perhaps one or two others though less recently, perceive an opinion as scolding if it doesn't agree with your point of view.
There was no scolding in what I wrote when it left my keyboard, nor in my intention, but there is certainly scolding in your own remark.
That's a bit sad too, come to think of it!

Loz - You are on a religious discussion forum. This is where people discuss and debate religious ideas. If evidence to the contrary helps some people face up to their superstious beliefs so be it.
If you want a forum where assertions can be made without challenge you will find it at www.exJWs4Shelby.com

Nah, what you all do isnt called discussing Cofty, it's called many things but, never discussing.
Loz xYou shift your ground when it suits you, Cofty, don't you?

That's not what happens. What is going on is a concerted attempt by a relatively small group to eat away at the edges of faith wherever a vulnerability is detected. MsGrowingGirl didn't say she was doubting. Her faith in God is something that's clearly part of her life. Yet people do their best to diminish it, fire holes in it, and that is the more lamentable...oh dear, does that count as scolding?...when the person concerned has for some months been struggling with whether or not to leave the JW's.
Attacking the faith of MsGrowingGirl is a pretty rotten thing to do. You may be familiar with the old fashioned term "cad". It would apply here, if it continued.
You are on a religious discussion forum.
Actually, that isn't strictly accurate. The Description meta-tag for JWN reads "The place to discuss anything relating to Jehovah's Witnesses and the WatchTower Bible and Tract Society... or just make new friends!"
NOT, you note, the "place to put down anyone who doesn't agree with you" nor "the place where it's a free-for-all for destroying others' belief in God".
It is you and your new gang of friends, Cofty, who are thoroughly out of order.

Let's nail this one too, while I'm about it.
Wrong on every count. http://xjwsforchrist.madmooseforum.com is exactly that, and renaming it as you have done is cruel, unkind and just plain crass stupid.
Stupid because it ranks with the kind of behaviour a class bully indulges in, a bit like the pair of bullies acting as the muscle for Draco Malfoy in harry Potter. Unkind, because it uses the name of a nice decent person to pretend to an unknowing reader...while, of course, playing to the gallery of the applauding crowd on the dual atheist forums....that Shelby is creating a cult.
It is just so silly. But such a shame, Cofty, because when I first knew you, not all that long ago, you were a decent bloke.
I would like to "discuss "your outstanding bill hee hee hee
Not beleiving in God is much easier and less complicated than having to "imagine not believing in God"
It's one less thing to have to think about.
NJY
But for many would be one less joy.
