"Hey, I'm experiencing exactly what other people have described!"

    So....that's how.

When you watch it you will be in no doubt that what she was going through was no different to what people like Shelby and Tammy describe.

So she was going off what she thought is a religious experience as per the description of others?

Hmmm, it may have been a legit experirnce or not, hard to tell BUT even if it was, we are back to the same thing though: an external force causing that stimuli/suggestion.

If we can cause the same feelings VIA external stimuli, what is cuasing it when there is no external stimuli?

Internal electrical and chemical reactions in the brain.

And what type of external stimuli would we need to make a person feel love, devotion and a desire to please something that is intangiable to them?

Intangible? Not sure what you mean. Everything in the brain is electrical and chemical. Our brain makes EVERYTHING feel real to us. Depending on your brain, some things are more "real" than others.

    So?

So reality is subjective to perception and electrical and chemical stimuli in the brain?

    So?

So, if people NEED an external force to simluate the brain, how does it happen when there is NO external influence?

    You said:

    Naturally occuring ones?

    Pretty much, yeah.

Why did you add "NEED" in there? It's simply possible. No suggestion was made that an external force is needed to make people experience this.

    Naturally occuring ones?

    Yes.

There will always be external stimuli. You are unconscious of most of the external stimuli that affect so many nervous reactions. You can get an emotional response by hearing a few notes of music that you haven't been aware of. Changes in lighting can affect your mood, subconsciously. An odour can make you feel hungry or nausious!

    Yes.

I added the 'need' because those case we are talking about need the external stumli, yes?

So, why would some people need an external infulence to create a "religious revelation" or "religious feeling" and other it occurs naturally?

I am still wondering if it is th same thing... I mean, has anyone been able to electrically stimulate the brain in a person to make them love something that they never knew before ?
