If you cannot grasp that Islam is a different religion altogether, and not just another version of Christianity, then there is nothing more than i can say that will help you out.

I think Ms Armstrong is fascinating.

For me, the finest characteristic an author can have is an insightful and creative way of rethinking things from a different angle.

Armstrong has insights that reframe ordinary things and make them explicable and fascinating.

On the opposite end of the spectrum are the religious writers that have no insights whatsoever. i.e. every member of the Writing Committee at Watchtower Headquarters.

The worst writing on the planet!

I love Armstrong's idea that early societies could not afford to tolerate innovators because doing things the same old way (proven success methods) meant life or death. An innovator might make things better

but to risk everything on TRYING was not worth dying for. So, tribes, families, cities and nations kicked out the creative geniuses along with the other oddballs. And that is how civilzation spread. People at odds with their own roots

"disfellowshipped" by friends, neighbors and family....go off and start over for better or for worse.

no not at all jesus said i am the way the truth and the life noone comes to the father except through me. this is not self rightoues it puts all the glory on god none on me. i have said many times i deserve not life, but its a gift. i have complete trust in jesus and if i directed glory to anyone but god, i would be lying about what i believe. so def not self rightoues.
