Religion is the social tool that keeps the poor person from killing the rich man and stealing his wealth and wife

That's a nice theory, dear Moshe (peace to you!), but I'm not so sure:

    1. Of the religious people I have known in my life, WAY more are rich (well-off, affluent, etc.), than poor (those tend to actually "hate" God more... because of their lot in life)

    2. Of the churches I've seen, WAY more exist in the rich (well-off, affluent, etc.) neighborhoods than in the poor (and most in the poor neighborhoods include soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and clinics, while those in the other boast schools and childcare centers)

    3. It isn't the rich who are lauded in religion (or the Bible, for "christian" religions), but the poor. Indeed, it seems questionable (but really is not, but some teach it as such) whether a rich man can even get INTO the kingdom.

Religion IS very much a tool, but used by both: the poor AND the rich. More so the poor, though, to explain away a miserable existence (than the rich who tend to look to themselves as being "blessed"). More than that, it is a tool used by one who holds power over the rich and the poor... the small AND the great.

The kingdom of God, however, has nothing to do with what a person possesses physically - Abraham, Lot, the kings of Israel, David, Zacchaeus, Joseph of Arimathea, and many others during the first centurey were greatly rich, while all during the time of these some were close to destitute.

It is not about earthly "treasure"... but spiritual treasure.

"Christianity" does not provide spiritual treasure - it only provides a "form" of such that, in its end, proves false (to its power). The ONLY One who can provide SPIRITUAL treasure... is Christ:

"I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see." Revelation 3:21

What "gold" is he referring to? The "talents/minas" mentioned in Matthew's and Luke's accounts:

“For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability..." Matthew 25:14, 15; Luke 19:12, 13

How does one "buy" such gold?

"Choose my instructioninstead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold..."Proverbs 8:10 And how are the "talents/minas" distributed? "He breathed onthem, and said to them, Receive holy spirit." John 20:22 "... suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing wind..." Acts 2:2

I realize that there are some (perhaps many) here for whom these things are hard to hear. May those who WISH to hear, though, be granted ears to do so (Psalm 40:6)... as well as to hear the Spirit (Christ) and his Bride when THEY say (to such one): "Come! Take 'life's water'... the holy spirit of God, the MOST Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies... which is His blood, seed... and BREATH... which is poured out from the innermost parts of His Son and Christ, the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah)... and grants life to the one receiving it... FREE!" Again, peace to you! A slave of Christ, SA

Muslims (though just as with any nation or religion, you cannot lump them in as one) respect and acknowledge Christ and His teachings. Not as the Son of God, but as a prophet. In either case, they do show respect to Him and His teachings, and as such, I would not be one to disrespect the one whom they love and hold in high regard.

It does not mean that I have to agree. Just means showing the respect that one would like to receive.

    Peace,

tec to respect them as aperson yes, but what they believe if a person believes in a different jesus, christains should not put up with it, that paul warned against when ones would preach a different jesus. he is not just a prophet, he is not an angel he is the creator , not a creation. two things satan attacks, gods word (what he speaks ) and gods word(jesus)

Unstop, the idea that you're trying to put forth reminded me of a book I have but have not completely read: A History of God by Karen Armstrong. It's a historic book covering Judism, Christianity, and Islam. It might benefit you to read it.

Well, unstoppable... if christians should not put up with what some others think about Christ (even though they do think good things about him, and show Him respect), then by the same reasoning, muslims should not put up with anyone who believes other than they do about their prophet.

Perhaps you did not mean that is it sounded?

One can disagree, but one can still do so in a respectful manner. On its own, this entire world is never going to agree upon all things, especially on matters of faith and/or religion. So we best learn a way to find peace despite our disagreements.

    Peace,

I think a better focus would be to find things that we all agree on and go from there.
