It is a very humiliating, demeaning experience for the person involved. I used to cringe at the questions asked by elders who wanted the gory details. My friends who are DF'ed or were DF'ed still have the scars. No human being deserves to be humiliated in such a fashion, especially since those people probably DO NOT care about you as a person.

    I agree with this 100%

herefore I would suggest that if lying is to your advantage to temporally calm the waters,

Throw that heartless mother of your under the bus- call everyone up and tell them Mom is spreading vile lies about you. It's your word against hers, but you must go on the offensive and nip it in the bud, before your silence puts the stamp of 'truth' on what she has said.- and don't go to any invited elders meeting-

From past experiences in dealing with the elders, they only want to hear the graphic details, while they fantasize that its them, but the plain fact of the truth is; with the examples that Jesus set re: Peter trying to cut off the head of one of the arresting soldiers, then within a few days being forgiven and given the keys of the kingdom. The adultereress in John 8:1-11......Did Jesus want details? He just simply said 'Sin no more'.

If it was me, I would tell them that you are not going to supply their 'whacking off' material.

Use their 2 witness rule against them. You only admited it to your mother, right? Could she not have misunderstood? They need either 2 eyewitnesses (even to a confession) or a confession to the elders.

You could deny deny deny. Or you could let them know how sorry and repentent you are and hope that they have mercy.

Only in the organization can a 30 year old get in trouble from their mother for having sex.
