Sounds like your doing some smart thinking.

Jan. 10th and giving up the booze! Yes. You need your mind clear to think how to guide your wife, in time, thru this mind field, that she has been taught as truth(tm). Many husbands have helped their wives wake up. Some tell us they went too fast, when their wives wern't ready yet to listen. You know your wife better than us. You'll do fine.

Awakening to an illegitimate and lifelong worldview or "force framework" can be an incredible shock to the system.

Seeking out a new worldview and identity can be a real challenge.

Exchanging one worldview for another is like a sex change mixed with dying and being born.

Heavy stuff if one accepts that our worldview represents one of the deepest human addictions.

Quite mindbending to experience grief over losing a toxic worldview and those "friends" that are toxic.

The support of a good kind and compassionate Psychologist along with CBT and "talking medicine" can facilitate the process and transition.

It does take time - but there is hope and a much better life without being constantly bombarded with inane and mindless Watchtower propaganda.

PS - If you can, avoid Psychiatrists and their addictive meds which can impede the beneficial aspects of "talking medicine".
