  I am an American lawyer and proud of it! My specialty has been civil rights and civil liberties. I believe most Americans are confused by their free speech rights. We have almost unlimited ree speech rights (there are limits) with regard to the federal and state governments. We have no free speech rights in private situations. Simon is the owner of this forum. He can limit association to whomever he wants. He follows the guidelines but he is not held by them.

  We are here by invitation, not right. There are public forums, such as sidewalks and parks, but this is not one.

  The ACLU will defend Nazis burning crosses on their own private property. They have that right. If they engage in the conduct off their private property, it is likely they that have violated a hate crime or common law tort.

  Although I majored in Political Science at a good college, I had no clue as to how Free Speech was limited until law school.

  We had no rights here-other than what the owner allows.
