Great point about how now there are 8 men, out of countless billions through history, who are in charge of all of Christ's belongings. The most insightful, most spiritual, most humble, spirit-directed non-prophet, yet fallible, taking the lead, but not your leaders, but able to DF you for disagreeing, men in all history, who didn't know who they were for 90+ years... The single channel of truth on Earth. Did I mention they can DF you if you think differently, or don't agree with their ideas?

Yes it does matter. Truth, whatever it ends up being, matters. I have taught my daughter that there are 3 categories of info. 1) True 2) False 3) Yet to be determined. I told her that no human has the right to force you to accept categories 2&3 as belonging to category 1. It made perfect sense to a child....

If so then that even make more sense that they would establish a higher position for themselves as not being just
a common ordinary anointed ones, some of these who are now recognized as being mentally off.

LOL Data Dog, yes any one of those cartoons can be used to illustrate the new light. Theological Voltron was the first illustration I used.
I have found myself having to explain new light to several witness friends lately (yes the irregular spiritually weak witness is now the teacher). You can sense a bit of awkwardness when I resort to using famous cartoon illustrations, but it cannot be denied.
