For people who can't eccept that someone could possibly be atheist, one could reverse it on them. W no proof of gods, how could they possibly believe in one? Belief and nonbelief could be of equal value.

Even if Mere whisperings beckons us on to God ... that leaves even a 1% chance ..wonderment that leaves a place for God.. in our thoughts ....our hopes.. eternal dreams

These are just the beginning of all that he
does, merely a whisper of his power. Who,
then, can comprehend the thunder of his
    power?"(Job 26:14)...

I took the survey. Very interesting and I am looking forward to see the end results after the survey has been completed.

Well, that might have been relevant and true prior to 1947, but since that time, holy spirit has been directly interacting with the elect, so they have more direct proof of a living God and that the Bible is true.

But, you know, those who don't believe, often make excuses when something comes up that supports the Bible. It is as if one thing in the Bible were true that would just ruin it for them.

It is not transferrable, of course, but it feels great to know absolutely for sure, based on a personal encounter.

Can you imagine an atheist trying to convince Moses there is no God and that the 10 plagues were all part of his imagination?

Says the mentally ill guy with a Messiah complex.

This is a lie. 'The Bible' is a bunch of separate books somewhat arbitrarily selected many years ago to the exclusion of a bunch of other books. Some of them contain myth, some contain historical accounts from a Jewish political and religious perspective, and some are utter drivel. There is no basis for the claimed 'all or nothing' rationale.

No. I can't imagine an atheist explaining to a fictitious bronze-age character that some fictitious events didn't actually happen.

I can't imagine why people believe in a fictional character that only exists in the fantasy of the bible.

I answered Christian - associated with a denomination. I am a member of an ELCA Lutheran church and worship there on a somewhat weekly basis depending on the weather. If it is too cold I stay home, if it is too nice of a day we end up at the lake.

My faith is in my heart, I don't believe that you have to go to church to have that, it is sometimes even easier to find sitting on a dock watching the sunrise on the lake. I go to church because I have young children and want them to grow up with a faith family, I will most likely continue to go after they grow up because I enjoy the tradition, there is comfort in the ritual and a sense of normalness that I never felt growing up as a JW.

What is most important to me is that I have balance in my life and in the lives of my children. Going to church is just a small part of that balance. An even larger part is taking the time to help those in need, acceptance and love towards others without judgement, a thirst for knowledge, compassion and empathy, having a strong spirit, keeping a childlike wonder in an often harsh world, and knowing when you need to be selfish and nurture yourself.

I am not a fan of evangelizing, which to me means pushing your religious beliefs on to others. I am content with my faith and I respect those with other faiths or no-faith, just as long as they don't judge me for mine or try to convert me to theirs! :)

Not to be overlooked is the fact jehovah`s witnesses go out of their way not to be associated / aligned with any "christian" religion , thats why you will never see them listed alongside other churches in the "church notices" section ,in the media.
