Pathetic. JW's are taught that giving to charities is wrong and they should instead give it all to the Society, who never lift a finger to help the poor and suffering, except sometimes other JW's following a disaster.
I'd rather give my money to anything other than that global publishing corporation that uses brainwashed slave labour to build its vast global property empire that is worth billions.
And CO's are the biggest slave-driven suckers of them all, giving up normal homes, normal family life, normal friendships, normal jobs, to trapse around performing the WBTS's every whim. Pathetic.

if every publisher would just put one dime into the box each month it would add up to three quarters of a million dollars per publisher per month.
That's some interesting math you have there.
He went on and on about how many publisher there were 7 plus million. What I was thinking is what about the publishers in the country's where they are supper poor and they cannot afford to give a dime, and there is not money just laying on the streets like we have here in the rich US.
I strongly doubt that it is only coincidental that JWs have the most growth in poor countries, so they need more money from people in countries that are better off.

A friend of ours was commenting on this talk a few weeks ago when they had their CO visit. She heard the title of the talk given and then mentally summarized it in advance: " Let me guess... more time, more money..."
After the talk, she thought, "NAILED IT!"

People, The CO's Tuesday and Sunday talks lalely are recycled District convention talks since the Society does not trust them with preparing their own. Thursday's talks are still their own.
This one is from the 2011 DC Will You Make Sacrifices for the Kingdom?
Pennies, dimes. This does not make sense.
When Jehovah helped the Israelites cross the Red Sea, that spread around to the nations. Even in Rahab's time they knew of Jehovah's victories with Israel. He did great things for them.
But now; Jehovah providing is finding some change in the couch cushions, or an envelope to cover some expenses.
As one person said:"
Why doesnt jehovah just give them next weeks lotto numbers ?
One would expect Jehovah to do great and wonderful things, but where is that? How can we give glory to God?

Our last CO visit's first talk was also about sacrifices.
We got the widows two coins. Application? Do we put in out of our excess, throwing in what we can afford, or do we make a real sacrifice.

Cash Flow aint what it used to was obviously. I was quite annoyed when attending a service in a large Cathedral here in the U.K to have the collection box rattled in front of me, I refused to put money in, I gave some money on the way out when no one was looking, they have got to maintain that beatiful building after all.
But if someone tries to guilt me in to "giving" I won't do it.
I wonder how many JW's are of the same mind as me ? I gave up contributing a couple of years before I fully woke up enough to walk away, I do hope many are doing the same.
The blatant begging must really grate on the old timers, it did me when I was in, and it was nothing like as in your face as it is today.

Those boy's in Brooklyn are totally disconnected from reality
Ain't nobody throwin' away change as if it's nothin'
If anything, they scapin' up what they can to buy a loaf a bread
or keep their lights on
Then he goes on to contradict himself by sayin'
" How we here in the U.S. throw away stuff that little boy would be glad to have. So why should we hold back from giving, we have Jehovah right ? "
Let's break that down
The WTS always quote the bible tellin' folks to act like a lillie in the field,
and fly around from pillar to post like a damn bird
Not to worry about tomorrow
Throw your burdens upon Jehovah. Save your energy to do more for the Society ( 2008 March KM page one )
Question: Why don't the WTS take their own advice, and stop beggin' and bummin'
from a bunch of broke folks wit' part time jobs.
Another Question: Why should they even have to ask , don't they have Jehovah Too ????????
Jus' act like a lillie or flitter around like a bird and " Wait on Jehovah "
One Last Question: Where is the WTS faith in Jehovah ???????
