the June 15 2013 W pg 13, para 6&7 has an experience of a pioneer that needed $66 to pay her rent the next day. She prayed and went to work at her job as a waitress. When she finished her shift she had received a total of $66 in tips. The text then said 'Nancy is convinced that Jehovah generously provided exactly what she needed'.

Generous means "liberal in giving, marked by abundance or ample proportions"

That does not sound liberal or abundance. If she needed $66, generous would be $660 or $6600 dollars or more.

Malachi 1 says Bring all the tenth parts+ into the storehouse, that there may come to be food in my house;+ and test me out, please, in this respect,”+ Jehovah of armies has said, “whether I shall not open to YOU people the floodgates of the heavens+ and actually empty out upon YOU a blessing until there is no more want"

That is what generous is. What about the next month or for other needs?

Back in the days when Israel crossed the Red Sea, that news traveled around of his great works. And also at the time of Rahab. But now we have $66 dollars. What happened to the the way of things of old? I'm not saying he would help people win lotto, as that would mean that he would be helping others lose. But I would expect bigger things from a generous provision.

Assemblies in Spain cost upwards of €600 but Jah never made sure we had enough euros to attend even though we piosneered and prayed and never missed a meeting and were nice to everyone. Until that happened I thought they were mandtory and not optional,

We were not the only family that couldn't afford all of them. A much more loving provision would have been if instead of flying to Tenerife and Lanzarote or Gran Canaria they had them on our island once in a while and we all shared the cost.

And what about people that die everyday because don't have even one piece of bread? I guess that's not generosity...

“whether I shall not open to YOU people the floodgates of the heavens + and actually empty out upon YOU a blessing until there is no more want"

What a load of crap! It's more like, "bring in the tenth parts and you'll have that much less of the meager wages you make because we forbade you to get an education. Oh, and we'll keep nagging you to give more."

$666 would have been the right amount!

Thanks for the $66 belongs to those giving tips or to the person working her butt off to earn the tips. I always hated it when you did something for someone or gave them something at your expense and you did not get a proper thank you, but the comment Jehovah Provides. What a twisted and sick remark!

Something is not adding up here. If she lives in an area where rent is only $66 per month, that indicates a very low standard of living. How does someone from such a poor area get a job that pays one month's rent in one day?

Or was she $66 dollars short on a total of several hundred dollars?

If so that indicates a higher standard of living. If that is the case, where did she get the money to pay for utilities, food, transportation, etc. for the following days? If she lives that close to the edge, wouldn't she have similar struggles every month? Does "Jehovah" provide the exact needed funds like that every month?

As usual, this story is likely just another JW urban myth.

'Andre' turns female and rides again.

    This 'experience(TM)' is utter crap.

More lies from the writing desk.

The only good thing with stories like that is they might wake some people up

I like what Bart Simpson says about prayer: I worked for it and earned the money to buy it, why thank God for it.
