I did a gig in a 'worldly(TM)' pub. The money they gave me went on the week's shopping.

I didn't thank Jehovah(TM) because he doesn't exist. I thanked the landlord of the pub.

When people claim that god answered their prayer, they are unwittingly acknowledging that god is not a very nice person. Why? How do you explain the millions/billions of prayers other people offered that didn't get answered? If you believe god answered YOUR prayer while at the same time ignoring everyone else, then you are acknowledging that he has the ability to help everyone but chooses not to! So, if god can help but chooses not to, he's not a very nice person.

If he's willing to suspend the laws of the Universe to help pioneers pay their rent, why doesn't he do the same to help people who need way more than just $66 ? Say, like a child that's being sexually abused by someone in the cong. and desperately begs God for it to end? Or a JW dying of cancer? Or a pioneer that had to quit because pioneering broke them financially (you never hear those experiences in the WT).

If she hadn't prayed for $66, you know what she would have gotten in tips that night? $66 !

Also, how arrogant to believe that YOU are so important that god stops what he's doing to make your life easier while ignoring everyone else !

Anyway, this "experience", if you even believe it, doesn't make god look very good. He can do whatever he wants, has all the power, and this pioneer only gets the bare minimum- and not a penny more! This guarantees she'll be begging for rent money next month too. If she had a full-time job she'd be able to pay her rent. I wonder if she's ever thought of that?

Jesus said all prayers are answered in the gospels. If he fails to help one person that makes him a liar. Given hes never helped all the slaves in history or dying kids in africa, the numbers are damning just with those poor barstards.

Too bad those experiences are few and far between.

These examples are more a testimony of joke-hova giving grudgingly. Just give barely enough for that expense, to hell (or Gehenna) with going past that immediate need. Then place it in writing, boasting loudly about it so others will be inspired to pious-sneer. And, when they end up stiffed by joke-hova, all they get is instruction that they did something wrong.

"Until no more want is there"? This is precisely the opposite of what joke-hova actually provides. Providing "until there is no more want" means more than making sure one bill is paid just under the wire, barely. It means paying ALL the bills, plus providing a standard of living that, if it was any higher, the difference wouldn't even be noticed. It means that, given the choice between a squiggly thing and a Switch LED light costing 65 toilet papers, the person can afford all Switch lights. It means getting a big enough TV to fit in the space reserved for it--any bigger, and it would be at the expense of something more important. It means getting a computer with several yottabytes of RAM, a hard drive with 500 yottabytes, a processor that has so many cores that one process per core would leave 60,000 idle, and the know-how to fix it all. It means getting a car that lasts virtually forever, can go forever without gas, and goes extremely fast without any chance of getting tickets--along with the ability to drive it perfectly safely. It means getting a house that is so big that, if it were any bigger, it wouldn't be worth the extra work in keeping it up. And so on.

And yes, at least for me, it means getting the highest quality of Christmas lights until the place is all lit with them.
