    "Sleep When I'm Dead"

Sleep when I'm dead, you angels
    I'll sleep when I'm dead, I said
Sleep when I'm dead, you angels
    I'll sleep when I'm dead, I said
Sleep when I'm dead, you angels

    But until then

They told me I would live forever
    If I kept it clean
They said I would be the chosen one
If I took one for the team

Yeah, it's the only way to be
    Never think it isn't fair
That's a green eyed panic climb
    To the edge of nowhere

off course, at DEATH, the matter&energy that made up the brain/mind continues to exist in spacetime. but

at DEATH, the particular arrangement, interaction, energy flow (that makes up the person) stops moving through time, it becomes

part of the unmoving, fixed past time.

My brain from yesterday is part of past time and unmoving past time. I am not sure what your point is.

We live in the ever moving, zero length NOW and at DEATH we leave it.

    OK. So do gnats.

I think about this all the time. not in a morbid way though. Thank god we got out of that horrible, life wasting religion when we did.

On another note, someone once made me think that we all are reabsorbed by this good earth beneath our feet. one day, i'll become part and parcel of this planet. In a way, i'll be reunited with my dad,my daughter, and others that I loved so much. This thought kind of comforts me in the face of the inevitable.

    In the meantime........enjoy.

Remember, many stars died a violent death so that we could be born. The circle of life continues. The Dude abides.

J-L Picard gave a good PICTURE. so do you EP. un astre, a star gives energy while it shines, but in DEATH gives the material needed to keep every one/ thing moving along, developing.

stars, not so stellar humans, moustiques (gnats) all move through time for a while. ( and provide valuable matter as the go and in DEATH))

make the most of the ride.

I have never feared death, even now that I am closer to it. I have enjoyed my time on earth, have loved and been loved. I hope I am remembered well by those I leave, and that I made the world a bit better in some way. What more can you expect, really? If there is such a thing as an afterlife, well I guess that would be a pleasant surprise (unless its hell, but I have a hard time believing in even the possibility of that)

A moment of silence for all those stars that died, giving birth to elements that make our material existence possible.

I went to a funeral today, the only person in the room that didn't know what was happening was in the coffin. He didn't even know he was dead. Thats how it is, back to oblivion.

Don't you feel that an eternity on this earth would be worse than death? Maybe that's just me.. I'd often wonder why a God would curse us with fear, anxiety and awareness of death and empathy for other peoples suffering , whereas many animals get to just enjoy life without those feelings. I guess that's the price of 'higher intelligience'...
