    Crazy Guy

    Life molds and educates us.

    History teaches us.

Those who don't have any faith or belief in The Bible, God, Jesus are exercising their own free will. To do as they choose and live theirs lives as they see fit. They want independence.

As are every other group of every shape and form in all areas of society. Doesn't make them right.

    Everybody blames God. Why.

Why don't you all blame yourselves, you got yourself into your own mess. You/we were all fooled by trickery, well it happens in the world people. Doesn't mean it's Gods fault. It is man's own fault.

The history and nature of society is that we are always controlled by someone else.

Whoever has the most wealth, most physical power, most warriors, most weapons, biggest army. Whoever is the stongest ans can over power others into submission rules.

That has been the way of man throughout history.

You all say 'IF' 'IF' if there was really a God - how do you know that there isn't ? and the book is a guide, it may not even be a complete book. There could be masses of info missing that we don't know about.

IF there is God, then there Must be the Devil also.

whether you to choose to believe something, anything, is personal choice. You have free will. I hate it when others knock people for having beliefs.

WT is a cult yes, it has come so far now and has 'History' that it has proved what it really is, and the people have also proved who they are. FACT.

But it is one of many, jw's are not experiencing anything special that no-one else has suffered before them.

Perhaps if we had been fortunate to have had better educations growing up and were taught/leant more about it all, then we wouldn't of been tricked. Now we have lerant the hard way, we have learnt to be on the watch now cos we have been burned. Cautious.

No body dragged us off to a camp. We followed willingly. We have no one to blame but ourselves. we wouldn't of listened to anyone who told us otherwise back then, just like now the jw who are trapped won't listen to anyone now. We can only watch how it all unfolds and see what happens.

WT won't fall. It won't be destroyed by men. Just like all the other religions in the world are still around. they have nothing to do with belief in God, or truth or the Bible or religion. They are corporations, country clubs, communities for the elite to do business with each other and live a good life.

They are parasites in my opinion.

But I don't blame God, if he does exist. I take the good from it just like I would any other book I read.

It is interesting to note that when the End Time expectations were made to look silly, because nothing happened, then the jesus cult began to take on the philosophical ideas that were part of mainstream society.

I wonder if the WT/JW's will wake up and do something similar, they are already at the point where their End Time rubbish is looking very silly, going more mainstream rather than trying to prop up a 19th Century end-time relgion is increasingly looking like the only way to go.

Lost, I hoping maybe one day you'll have done enough research to come back here and cringe at the above sort of "reasoning."

Lost: If God really exist, he surely had found a better and effective way to communicate with mankind. But, probably he/she's not interested in communicating. Otherwise he should have got himself better PR-people.

Ok, OK, I know we have some self-proclaimed "prophets" among us at this very community. Aswell as the Messiah.

    D Servant.

Lol ... I know. I been thinking about it this past while when I left. I haven't the knowledge you have yet, I am only just beginning my education. lol. It will take years. But, whatever happens, I intend to do it in a way that it ''all sits happy in my head''. I am getting there, albeit slowly.

Although at this moment I am choosing to learn and discover all of these things. i am also choosing to still hold to my basic beliefs that there is a God / creator, and I do quite like the Bible as a book, as a story. I believed even before I was jw you see. Since I was a little child, but we weren't a religious family. now I am interested in learning more about it all, the whole picture.

That could all change, I don't know. At the end of the day do we truly know anything about it? do we have any answers ? can we say for a fact one way or the other ?

It's just a journey isn't it, life. Now we know how to enjoy it and appreciate all of the wonderful things along the way. We are free. It's great.

There are so many things that interest me now, books to read, research, info, learning. It's great. I love it. i do try to keep my positive glasses on, and for the most I do focus on the positives about God, the Bible, Jesus. the 'good christian' things. Not the twisted knotty mess it has become.

    thanks

I believe the bible is REAL!

I have one. It's printed on paper, I can touch it and pick it up. When I pick it up and open it...

    There's nothing inside but bullshit.

Sometimes it's worse than bullshit. Do you remember Ezekiel baking his bread....with human faeces as fuel for the fire.

A collection of writings that people have taken way too seriously.

A collection of verses that can be cherry picked to mean what you want them to mean.

    I prefer this......

Some slaves wanted to be slaves and they could be set free. Israelites who fell upon poverty and had to become slaves to survive were still set free and regained possession of their ancestral lands in the jubilee year.

The Bible absolutely has no regard to racism, so the type of slavery in those days that was allowed in the Bible, along with polygamy and concubinage was specific.

As far as snakes being able to talk, the JW and otherwise general concensus is that it was not the snake itself talking bu Satan using the snake, so the Bible does not claim snakes talk naturally.

I believe the Bible is a true book of history and it fares well with archaeological records if you can find an honest archaeologist. Case in point, scular records from other nations confirm many Bible characters and events, especially during the Assyrian and Neo-Babylonian Periods, so there is no reason to doubt the Bible's history for that period. Many doubt the history when they use the wrong timeline and make comparisons.

Case in point, now radiocarbon-14 has advanced to date some things within "less than 10 years" as in the case of Shishak's invasion, with the mid-point range date being 871 BCE. The distorted timeline being used by archaeologists date that event to 925 BCE. But the Bible's true timeline, which can now be based on 1947 beginning the 70th jubilee, dates the Exodus to 1386 BCE and Shishak to 871 BCE, the precise dating range we now can confirm with radiocarbon 14 dating. So it just depends on whether you do your own research and who you believe. In my case, I've found great secular confirmation for the Bible's historical record. So I'm quite pleased and convinced about the Bible as a historical source, generally. But not everything in the current Bible I believe is "inspired."

It helped me understand and leave the Watchtower. This is what I am learning:

It is a book with an amazing message woven throughout and hidden in plain sight.

This message is known as the "unabridged gospel".

All who personally pursue this message to its zenith, end up at the same point.

All go from knowing about God - to knowing God (as a father).

(Why does the "true religion" secretly blind its followers to the "Good News" according to Paul, Moses, Isaiah and Psalms?)
