Let's suppose that dating methods are defective.

We are still left with the fact that "God" created a horrific monster like T. Rex. If a modern day scientist managed to recreate one (a la Jurassic Park), he would be considered a criminal or insane. Darwin grasped this point - no God would create horrors.

We also have indications that T. Rex DNA is distantly related to modern day birds, even chickens. Hence, evolution.

I am somewhat skeptical about radioactive dating methods but it would be necessary to show that they all are defective because the decay rate is not constant. It does not make sense to simply point out individual problems with specific methods - there would have to be something wrong with all of them, consistently. Even with all of that, evolution still stands.

EP, I said "everyone". That means everyone, get it now?

Yes, it's like I said, you are claiming as fact something you don't know, expecting us to accept your filtered information, the very thing you just complained about. Self awareness, you should try it!

Dinosaur fossils? And how exactly does that explain how Genesis could be taken literally? I checked and there's no record that Adam named all the dinosaur species when he supposedly named the animals. Nowhere in the OT does it explain how long DNA samples could stay in tact. Am I missing it? Did the Mosaic Law specify the rate of DNA decomposition?

I'll probably get insulted for going off-topic, but if the subject of historical accuracy of the Genesis account is brought up, we need to be honest that the big problem is that the flood story is still there in the Big Book of Jewish Fables. Just because DNA could survive thousands or millions of years, that doesn't explain how the koalas got from Australia to Turkey, then back to Australia. Add to that the millions of other species that Noah would have had to take aboard the ark and Genesis proves itself to be Bronze Age legends without real basis on evidence.

Billy the Ex, any good Christian just "knows" that any flaw or question or disagreement with science automatically defaults to proof that the Bible and Christianity are true. It never supports the idea that science should keep refining or any other spiritual beliefs such as Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, etc..

It's amazing to me that when these kinds of topics are posted it generally escalates into name calling in short order...

You guys disagree and that's okay. You both think the other guy's wrong and that too is OKAY lol.

    It's a journey yep yep...

FACT: DNA cannot survive for millions of years, Yet we have reports of Dino Dna from credible sources

FACT: Dino bones shouldn't smell like stinking, rotting cadavers after millions of years, but many do

FACT: Dino SOFT TISSUES found in porous limestone shouldn't exist after millions of years, but many dino soft tissues do exist

    mP:

Where do you source your facts ? YOu wouldnt know a dino bone or DNA if you were looking at it.
