Bad Health is no excuse for not doing everything the GB tells you to do.

Interesting how concerned and loving the brothers are.

Sick people and depressed people are self-centered. Hmmmmm.

What kind of mind produces statements such as this?

As I was scanning the WT and your comments, Blondie, I kept thinking, "Now it's ALL the stumbler's fault? What about the millstone scripture?"

Only you, not the WT, mentioned it in your comments at the end.

Now those dubs who lie, belittle, gossip, and otherwise harass other dubs can take comfort that it's now all on the stumbled one to get back on his feet and into the "race."

Bullies at the KH, take note! You can now bully the weaker ones with impunity. The WT says it's not your fault!! It's theirs!!! Yay!!!!

Hats off to you, Blondie! That you can trawl through that smelly vomit inducing swill each weak with the fortitude you do amazes me. Great stuff.

Yes, crossing the finish line is not easy when the ones overseeing the race are constantly adjusting the rules, clarifying the “light.” Tripping the runners so to speak.

And I might add: they keep moving the finish line...

First, where is the finish line? You cannot reach the finish line if you are continually going in circles and the finish line is off the course you are being herded around. You also cannot cross a finish line that doesn't exist or one that keeps getting moved back. Trying to run this race is a waste of time because you are aimlessly running for nothing.

And for what? As far as I know, slavery is the "prize" awaiting those who cross this finish line. Joke-hova wants nothing more than to enslave the whole human race, even going so far as choosing a people to derail everyone else's culture and eventually enslave everyone. (And issuing death threats to ensure people are afraid to disobey.) At least the prize Satan offers is liberty and freedom, not being enslaved to joke-hova. Thus, I am not wasting my time running a race for slavery.

I find it pretty hard to stumble others with our own conduct if stupidity is the one and only sin. I also find it difficult to be stumbled by others if I need to cross-reference things for myself. For instance, the witlesses have a blanket prohibition on using street drugs--which is often not enforced, and people sneak them anyways. In Satanism, there is no set rule against it, but you are supposed to learn whether the benefits of using them exceed the costs and be totally objective (such as the supposed benefits being ruining your brain, opening your aura for angels to attack, and preventing you from advancing). Objective common sense dictates that using drugs is usually if not always not worth it, and thus most don't use them (though those who use drugs are not punished). This eliminates the class of those who use drugs just to see what they can get away with.

Once again, Tyrant David is highlighted as a favorable example. That incident of murder is bad enough, but what about trashing every Gentile it could get its grubby paws on and being proud of it? Just reading the LIE-ble accounts of Tyrant David, you would understand that this scumbag has a hatred for anyone that doesn't worship joke-hova, and is willing to murder whole nations in order to stamp out the pagan worship in other nations. And this is a FAVORABLE example? Tyrant David is nothing more than an embarrassment to joke-hova, and anyone that doesn't wish to worship joke-hova (and this is everyone that is not in a pure Jewish religion) should loathe Tyrant David for this. Would you be proud of a guy that is responsible for more hatred for outsiders than anyone else, as Tyrant David was? And be so blatant about it as is in the LIE-ble? Stumbled? I don't think that scumbag was merely stumbled.

    BU2B:

I totally agree with your post. Many of us are out not because of some trifling personality clash but because of grave failings of the religion in general, some that you pointed out.

This love affair with King David is because they like the idea of somebody like him who got away with serious sins.

I also saw that arrogant attitude of elders who feel they can insult people with impunity and then give an answer like you said, thinking they are going to 'turn the tables' on the person they offended! I was appalled at certain people with a mean streak who directed snide or cutesey cruel remarks at others and there was nothing accidental about it. I guess some people feel they can get away with this garbage and they get a free "pass". I don't know whether it is age or the "position" they think they have in the congregation.

Obviously, this article was because of the droves of people who are leaving or "fading" and the religion wants the rank and file to feel that these people were "stumbled" over minor things and that it is their fault. Never mind that the religion stinks from top to bottom and some very righteous and spiritually minded people cannot continue there anymore!

From this WT study it seems like many are leaving and not comming back. Permanant membership loss is not good for the corporation's survival.

6 Jehovah will not allow those trusting

in him to stumble or to experience

a fall—an adversity or a setback in their

    worship—from which they cannot recover.

We are assured that Jehovah will

help us “get up” so that we can continue

giving him our utmost devotion. How

comforting that is for all who love Jehovah

deeply from the heart! The wicked

do not have the same desire to get up.

Real simple there. If you are stumbled and do not continue on then you are wicked. It was your fault.
