  15 One brother who was raised in a Christian household wrote that for as long as he could remember, he struggled with homosexual tendencies.

  I actually commented on this paragraph. I think it's stupid that they always use this term "tendencies". I said "Here we're given this experience of a gay brother. Being gay has obviously been a huge struggle for his in his efforts to remain in the congregation...".

  I was anticipating someone being horrified that I'd say there were actually gay JWs, but instead I actually had several people approach me after the meeting and thanked me profousely for my comment and told me how much they appreciated how I said it. Who knew?!

  Yes DOC, that was said at our WT too and highlighted by the conductor and commenters! If something happens to you and you let it stop you from attending meetings service etc.. you are a wicked person. If you were not wicked you would not let it stop you. I thought this was the most mind controlling paragraph because it leaves no room in a JWs mind for anyone leaving for a legit reason. If you stop coming you MUST have a haughty wicked heart, and we all know what will happen to the wicked!

I just don't put up with it anymore and leave because they love to play a mind f@#$ game and when you call them on it will act as if nothing happened or was said or , your paranoid , seems to be a favorite of theirs . I suspect them of gross injustices including friendship with worldly organizations , not just the UN . Huge gag alert on this one ....

  Once again they manage to blur the distinction between God, and the WTS... If one pulls away from the Society, it is because "you do not love Jehovah enough" as has been said to me...Since those loving Him have no stumbling block...

  Hmm. What if your love of God is such that you realize that he would never do the terrible things that they look forward to, at Armageddon?

  You pull away from those who make your "Father" out to be a mass slayer of humanity....that is not stumbling from God, just the WTS...but they are one and the same these days in the Cong literature....but of course that is the observation of one that is too "wicked" to get up and join the race treadmill again

  good point tho they don't mean stumbling as in losing faith in GOD but in the people in the org. because some of them are clearly hypocrites . I think they are more worried about losing the money than the member anyway. The org . itself can run people off with their constant guilt trip and finger pointing and giving people false prophesy such as the generation promise ,,, ohh look they're dwindling remember they don't die before the end ,,, It's like you hire a guide to take you through a desert and he points you in the direction of an oasis and when you get there it's just a mirage , then he says you miss understood him and points you to another location . Of course you die of thirst at this point and the vultures eat you for dinner ....
