Why are two men allowed to be alone but a man and woman can't be. Which is supposedly worse homosexual sex or straight sex?
If you want to protect against immorallity shouldn't two boys or girls have a chaperone at all times. I have heard of both sexes experimenting with homosexuality on sleep-overs, so why is unchaperoned samesex mingling tolerated by Christians?
Good point, 5go I often bring up the same thing. They act as if people of the same sex dont fool around. To take it one step further, two married couples shouldnt be allowed to be alone. Ever hear of swingers? Apparently this isnt that rare. The WT has warned of "wife swapping" in the past.
Even a married couple alone with a single person should be viewed with scrutiny. Some couples like to invite a 3rd party into the bedroom! Maybe JWs should only be allowed to be together in groups of ten or more.
In all seriousness, the real chaperoned should be with the young children and some creepy JW men. Thats where the real tradgedies have and do happen.
Just a note: pedophiles are not just "creepy" men. Many pedophiles go to great lengths to not appear "creepy." Just as humans camouflage themselves when hunting animals, so do pedophile camouflage themselves to appear friendly, attractive to children and parents.
The WTS does have restrictions regarding married couples under the same roof with single people in that they can't be alone with the one of the opposite sex when at home. The same is true of 2 married couples sharing the space.
Even a biological brother and sister cannot share the same house/apartment/hotel room because others won't realize they are brother and sister.
The WTS sees perversion everywhere except where it truly exists.
