The fools in the tower have great confidence that whatever they come up with has been bestowed Divinely.
Then, guess what? It flops.
What now? Back to the drawing board and a "fix" or patch is invented. It is like General Motors with a recall. Oops, the brake pedal stuck and now we have a gizmo that will adjust that!
CRASH!
Oops, well now we REALLY have a gizmo that will adjust that!
There is a sense that no matter what changes, adjustments and new light becomes necessary it can only be viewed as PROGRESS.
For General Motors it isn't so much that they have brilliant engineers whose designs work---but, that no matter how often a dud is manufactureed,
a repair can be scheduled and a recall will set matter right.
Both instances are HUMAN failures and HUMAN repair jobs.
Where is heaven in all this?
