Why do they call it the New World Translation?

Maybe they just could have called it, "I Can't Believe It's Not a Bible."

I have always understood the 'New" part of the title to refer to the new understanding and Christian fundamentalism that CT Russell set in motion, and that this translation was in fulfillment of his original ideal to cleanse the scriptures of all apostasies.

When this Bible was first published, the Watchtower Corporation (or should I just say Frederick Franz?) had already been publishing several books and Watchtower articles that contained the Masonic phrase "New World Order". It became the catch phrase that would also be frequently heard in conversations between JWs. However, eventually many JWs began to write the Society to question the use of this Masonic phrase, so this catch phrase later evolved into "New Order", then "New System of Things", then just "New System". But the name "New World Translation" is based on the Freemason's phrase "New World Order".

Relating to "New World" I found an interesting thread. Unfortunately not on this page, but it has to do with Jehovahs Witnesses and New World agenda. See link below.

Of course, even if it was so, Witnesses would not recognize it themselves. The development of a cult or any other religion takes many steps and is - years later - a mixture of many fairy-tales. The goals and purposes vary and are adaptable to the men who initiate cults, believes, religions, whatever. As long as people like to take part in such games and believe to get the promises with which the inventors tempt them, they try to win the game and just keep playing. As long as there are people who long for fairy-tales, there will always be people who make them up for them.

But within the Watchtower Company the game got out of control with the rule of the blood transfusion. This game is not funny anymore. It killed so many people. I would not take part in it. Not even blindly. Control your Channel and the rules they invent.

Isn't David Icke the guy who says that most of the major world leaders are actually reptile people from outer space in disguise, or something like that?

It's all about the game of the Watchtower Company. They play it for so long now and the gullible Witnesses of the Watchtower take part in that game by accepting the rules of the Watchtower. I find this very strange.

The Watchtower, September 1, 1987, page 20: "The United Nations is actually a worldly confederacy against Jehovah God and his dedicated Witnesses on earth. It is really a conspiracy, with the worldly nations getting their heads together and scheming up what they may do against the visible organization of Jehovah God on earth...".

I don't know much about David Icke. Just googled with search words like "jehovahs witnesses mason masonry illuminati" and got finally to the thread I mentioned above.

The big conspirary that the Watchtower Company invented can be found througout their literature. I just gave one example above.

David Icke is discounted by a lot of people because of the 'reptilian /alien'' thing

what people fail to understand, which is why some things should be scrutinised before being discounted.

The 'reptilain' thing is related to the Nephilim and the Fallen, the 'mystical things'

Having taken time myself to start taking apart this 'cult' that I thought was a religion, when you strip away the layers, and go back to source, you begin to realise why and where these things originated.

Kabbala. Theosophy. The Spanish Monk Martini. Ba'al. Paganism. Illuminati. Opus Dei. Ancient Civilisation. Myths, Legends. Kings, tribes, rulerships. Power, control, domination, finance. Angels/Demons. Astrology. Spiritistic practices.

    Deception and Lies.
