Funny about the window washers/casual retail-type job holders. What do they do when they have families? Either bludge off the government child care benefit or work to death. I know a sister who hadn't worked since she had her first kid at 19 and had her husband work 7 days a week to support the family in a newish rental house. She wanted a bedroom for each of the three children in new estate, rather than an older house and having the kids share. So the poor hubby had to work 7 days at his low paying job. So marry a hard working man! That's the way.
I lucked out on that one. I earn more than my husband.
