Welcome to this wonderful forum. Sad to hear about your family shunning you. Now you are treated as bad association in their eyes. Isn't it crazy that if you never was a jw, they would treat you fine. Don't let their treatment get you down. Continue to dwell on the positive aspects of your immediate family and that now you can use your life to benefit them instead donating your time to the WTS.

Welcome outofthelionsden glad to have you here with us. It is very rough losing your family members who are still in. We're going thru the same thing ourselves right now. My mom & siblings haven't talked to me since Dec and is shunning us. My husband's mother, ran to the elders hollering 'apostates' because hubby dared to show his non-jw brother some pictures hidden within the WT literature.

But breathe, relax. It does get easier. The niggling doubts that you are doing the right thing are natural and it's a side effect of the mind-control they have put us thru all these years.

Welcome! I am sorry to hear that your family has shunned you and that they went to those lengths to find out what you were doing. You will make a much happier and healthier life for you and your children. It does get easier with time and we are all here if you need to talk. It feels good to be free from their crazy teachings. I am glad your husband is free with you. My husband came out with me too and it has made things much easier than others whose spouses are still in. I wish you so much happiness! Looking forward to hearing your story.

We have not been DF or DA but both sides of our family have shunned us , it has been many months that they stopped talking to us and they even went to the extent to change there phone number so that I cannot contact them
