I am a Agnostic now. Not religous at all the thought of going back reminds me of a dog eating his own vomit. I would not like to hear about you jumping off a building or being caught up in a bell tower of some building with rifle shooting people. To return to something you know is a lie(going in service, associating with those people, ect.) at least to me is unthinkable. Human beings are just not wired that way.

I would never judge anyone who did. For some, post-JW life is unbearably lonely, and all the advice you might get on this board about how you 'just need to get out there and meet people!' doesn't necessarily fit everyone's personality type and/or circumstances.

The analogy of slaves seems to fit here I live in Ontario Canada btw the end of the under ground railroad you should think about it from Harriet Tubmans perspective. If you know the history.

If you go back you will not be happy. I don't have any reason to wish you harm or ill will but once you go back it won't be good for brain. Eventually you will hate yourself .

Well, I never left, I'm still in but wish I could be out completely. However I know what you mean, if you want to keep your relationship with your spouse you may have to 'fake it' a bit. I manage it by going to as few meetings as I can get away with, as little FS as possible, no answering up, no talks and refusing to be guilt tripped if I say no to anything. It is hard but it's just about do-able.
