  What a "prime" example of twisted JW/WT controlled thinking.

  If the WT/JW scam posing as a relgion really were from God, I would expect it to hold to the highest Moral Standards.

  Much higher than the low standards found in the Bible, Slavery, Ethnic "cleansing", including the murder of babies,, degradation of women, etc etc all approved in the Bible.

  Society at large demands higher morals than that, and "God's Channel" should be guiding "His People" to much higher standards than Society generally.

  Prime, your blinkered views are quite disgusting, and that is why children are being raped and otherwise abused in your "religion" even whilst I type this.

  Go stick your head back up your arse where your views come from.

  I believe paedophiles should be reported immediately to the police. Why should children be endangered or harmed just because a corporation posing as a religion is protecting it's reputation and as a result protecting it's cash flow.

  That's why most JWs hardly ever come near places like this forum.

  If you really cared about the protection of children you'd be very concerned that your handlers are not who they say they are. You might actually start to look into what many of us are saying in an objective sense.

  That you are posting here means you are either a troll or in the process of waking up. Maybe you don't want to wake up so are trying to maintain your sleep by defending your dream masters. In the process you show little regard for the protection of innocent children.

  Prime... according to the same scriptures we as humans have a law written inside of us... Sane people know that by THAT law it is absolutely immoral to NOT prosecute people who abuse children and to NOT file charges against these people. They are filth of the earth and are not needed in ANY society especially not a society which states it's origines are from God.

  God does NOT want to protect child molesters... so why does the organisation put themselves above God? Ever conscidered that it may be out of arrogance (and insanity)? Have you ever conscidered that they may not be God's organisation but a Satanic , moneylusting coverup?

  She is alice.in.wonderland, Spade, DreamWeaver, Tempest, Ryan, among other aliases, and has had a long history of posting here, on topix, beliefnet and even on cedars' blog. She has said in the past that she needed to get her life back in order before resuming meeting attendance. I do not know whether she is currently associated with a congregation. Wherever she goes she seems to play the same record. I hope that goes some way to answer your question Hortensia. Perhaps Prime can fill in some details for you ;-)

  What's stated in the 10/01/2012 BOE obviously applies to anyone on the national sex-offender registry. Divulging this type of information into the congregation through an unauthorized channel can result in a defamation lawsuit.

  So you're saying that spreading true and publicly available information about a known sex offender among congregants would result in a defamation lawsuit? What planet are you on?

  Most of us ignore him over there because of posts similar to her "open letter" to Bill Bowen and Barb Anderson.

  The majority of former JW's on TOPIX consider her to be a fruitcake who is 2 french fries short of a McDonald's Happy Meal.

  You're right in saying that it's a 'societal problem', but when people are in leadership positions then those people are in positions of responsibilty. Especially towards the vulnerable.

  Just recently the CofE recognised it's severe failings towards protecting children and have expressed remorse over it and a determination to change things.

  As for Barbara, she's been involved with this for many many years. Ever since the feedback she had from the articles she wrote for Awake about child abuse and realised how horrendous the problem was. She knows what she's talking about!

  The day you find out your children have been sexually abused come back here and tell us how you feel. But dont go to the police now will you because you would not be showing faith in the 'kingdom arrangement'.

  Prime is great! His convoluted ramblings will help honest-hearted faders everywhere! He also reflects the desperation that GB and others must be feeling. I do agree with a couple of his points:

  1) The elders are expected to use common sense.

  2) The 10/01/2012 BOE states the following; "At the same time that parents are warned about an individual, it would be appropriate for the elders to inform the individual that parents in the congregation will be discreetly informed." There are authorized channels to inform others about something of this nature.

  Point #1 is difficult to enact because of the legalistic attitude and simple lack of training on the part of the Elders. They DON'T use common sense, they refer to the Shepherd the Flock book instead. It, and not the Bible is the Go-to book. The Shepherd book is a collection of the WTBTS favorite snippets of scripture they use to support their legalistic approach to worship.

  Point #2. If the Elders were trained properly, and used common sense in the first place, the 10/01/2012 letter would not have been needed. Instead because they have been "trained" to protect the reputation of the WTBTS at all costs, they failed to act in a morally responsible manor.

  I also feel that their is no reason to do away with the " Two witness " principle. If the WTBTS simply does the moral thing from now on the " Two Witness " rule can stay. Once the Flock feels comfortable that real change has been enacted then children will feel free to report any type of abuse in a timely manner. That will also serve to keep abusers out of the congregation. If abusers are confronted quickly, and the word speads that you will pay for your crime, then they will not have the needed enviroment to abuse. If the "Superior Authorities" are allowed to carry out their scripturally assigned role, then you have your second witness. Forensics results found during a proper investigation by trained authorities is your second witness.

  The secrecy needs to end. Sins should be confessed to the congregation. An open atmosphere of trust should exist. That is simply not happening right now. Remember the sister who was sexually assaulted and murdered recently? The Jehovah's Witness community totally rallied around her family to support them. The WTBTS even sent official spokesmen. A horrible crime was committed and the perpetrator was dealt with by the " Superior Authorities." When a good PR session can result, and no money is on the line, it's amazing how moral the WTBTS can be.

  It's amazing how PRIME can speak of paying taxes, but totally dismiss the context of Romans 13.

  13 Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. 2 Therefore he who opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will receive judgment to themselves. 3 For those ruling are an object of fear, not to the good deed, but to the bad. Do you, then, want to have no fear of the authority? Keep doing good, and you will have praise from it; 4 for it is God's minister to you for your good. But if you are doing what is bad, be in fear: for it is not without purpose that it bears the sword; for it is God's minister, an avenger to express wrath upon the one practicing what is bad.

  The WTBTS will learn the meaning of this scripture.
