Bad news for the UK, trend is up for publishers. Looks like the death of the WBTS has been exaggerated. Shame.

remember churchill: dont believe a bilance which you have not falsified yourself.

and think of the 15 minute solution for the old ones.
the publishers in uk will increase - I guess up to 140,000

with a declining average in performances what make s the co's more cultivating pressure.

unmotivated publihsers will visit uninterested people with undesired mags at unfortunate times preaching untrue times and numbers and visons with unperfect matters and declining acceptances.

wow a hard time is coming

    Well, let's see:

    2000 pioneers: 11,136
    2001 pioneers: 10,459
    2002 pioneers: 7,155

Well. if pionners are going down, of course publisher numbers are going to go up you silly goose!!!!

Would you PLEASE consider redoing the title of your post! This is good news!!!!

Edited: actually I don't really know that. are the pioneer numbers PART of the publisher numbers or added to? Maybe someone can answer.

It's an hour a month, big deal if there's an increase in publishers. So a bunch of JW's put in an hour to keep the elders swat teams off their backs. That's STILL good news...

Well, I was really looking more at the total, which includes all catagories, and is about 4000 up over last January.

Remember we had much milder weather this January than last year.

    I should know , I'm a window cleaner.(hangs head in shame)

Well, I don't know about the month of January, but here is the overal numbers for the year (which statistically are more important)

    average or actual
    2000 120,592
    2001 119,655
    2002 114,499

Now I ask again, what are you saying increase? Where is the increase? Are you drinking? J

    Just curious....

    Are you drinking?

Hi dungbeetle. I'll have a double whisky please.

Well, I agree yearly figures are more accurate, but we don't know what they will be for 2002 yet. All I'm saying is that the total number of reporting JWs is up from this time last year, therefore an increase. Maybe sleepy has a point and it was the mild weather but I think more likely it's Klaus' idea of the impact of the new 15 minute minimum reporting time.

Maybe I ought to collate the figures into a graph for the UK which will more easily show trends. Hmmmmm.

    Sleepy,

Wake up! There are several millionair window washers, you may have to move to a bigger city, Lord knows there are alot of windows to wash...

But I was once told by and elder that was a building contractor has he was handing me a shovel, " Dan, there is not anything unhonorable about digging a ditch." I said, " Yea, that is because you are not down here shoveling... needless to say I was just too tired to make that meeting that night.

Anyway hold your head up and find the biggest damn building and start on your second million, because you will never make your first millon at this rate.

    Dormouse,

Is that last column Bible studies? Average 0.2%?

That is unbelieveably bad, it always used to hover around the 0.9% mark in my time.

No wonder they're dying on their feet.

    Englishman.

That's what I thought when I saw the numbers--really low Bible studies. And when you consider that probably 75% of them are family studies, the number's even lower!
