Completly agree. Even when the Revelation book came out, as confusing as it was, it was "challenging" to study it, with all the prophecies to be explained. Many nights you would go home from Book Study with your head reeling..... even when I conducted it! I still have my original copy, that has been studied 3 or 4 times at the book study over the years. It's kind of like looking back at your HS Yearbook, looking thru it and the notes that were made.

Granted, the "understanding" of much of it changed over the years, and most of it is still speculation anyways.

But I remember really trying hard, and studying hard~

Nowadays its ..... Read paragraph,...... answer question to paragraph....... what do you need to do different....... you're a slacker.........Even many of the questions now are FEELING based instead of intellectually based.... ie: "What do you look forward to? How does Jeremiah's experience fortify you? How are you affected by this new understanding?" etc etc.

There's no meat in anything, no logical development of a particular point......just lots of PICTURES, fewer pages, coloring books and connect-the-dots(wtf?), HUGE margins, LARGE fonts, SIMPLIFIED versions of everything, and emotional MOVIES with dramatic, unrealistic acting to move you to actions based on guilt. My kids, in their teens, even see it......... More and more I see everything based on EMOTION, and FEELINGS geared toward the uneducated.... not logic, or sensibleness.

"Jesus, on hand washing and defilement, in Matthew 15:20: “These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.“ Why do I get the impression that the Son of god didn't know shit about germs?

Last summer, wasn't there an incident of an elderly person who fell at the convention? The group the person was in wanted to leave a little early, before the crowds. Tripped, and if I remember, later died from the fall?

They wouldn't have the problem of the high-heeled, immodest shoes if they would just let everyone dress comfortably, in real clothing, like pants...then the sisters wouldn't feel the need to have their exposed legs look good and wear their immodest, high-heeled shoes...which I do not think are immodest.

I always thought the sisters looked ridiculous wearing sky high heels toting around all their stuff at the convention. All the seating required a considerable climb on the stairs, and it was a fair walk from the parking lot. The girls wearing prom style dresses looked silly too.

The advice about ridiculous footwear is good. A lot of sisters would get these skyscraper heels and first wear them the day of the DC, without first wearing them in or learning to walk properly. Ever seen them clumping around like horses? This means they haven't learned to walk in their new shoes. I always found it funny as I always cruised around in flats and had no problems with blisters or horse-walking.

You know why women wear high heels? To make them easier to catch!
