This three story office building has more square footage than Noah's ark did.

Do you think it is big enough to hold all the "kinds" of land animals along with enough food for them to last a year?

Could you fit all the animals from a small zoo in it, and expect them to live in it for a year?

God used his magic shrink ray to fit them all in.

Then he used his magic un-shrink ray after it was all over.

That explanation is at least as plausible as anything true believers come up with to answer your questions.

WT says they didn't have ALL the animals. Just a few of each species and then adaptation did the rest. In 4,000 yrs... Then migrated to every single continent and most islands in that time frame. They adapted to the huge diversity we see today... Hahahahahahahaha

The flood story was either a local phenon or was allegorical. Regardless, it does not diminish the lesson(s) that can be learned by sincere readers of the Bible IMO.

Is that the lesson that a vengeful god will smite everybody if he get's sufficiently pi$$ed off?

Yes, it seems reasonable that 8 people were able to take care of thousands (actually 1.25 million) of species of animals (requiring 24 hour a day attention) on a small boat for over a year. Here's what it takes to operate a small zoo:

    Detroit Zoo

Situated on 125 acres with many naturalistic habitats

Home to more than 3,300 animals of 280 species

210 employees including full and part-time

More than 1,100 volunteers, docents and gardeners who donate more than 100,000 hours of service each year

Ray I respect your work and you as a person. I have a serious question I wonder about. The flood is one of the things that ruins the bible for me. Because NT writers mention the flood and Jesus himself did according to gospels. If it was not real and global, I don't understand Jesus mentioning of it and use of it as an example. How do you reconcile this?
