This is my first post ever. I just wanted to say that the owner of the "testigos cristianos de Jehová" facebook group is a guy whose real name is José Antonio Gutierrez Garcia (post continues after the picture)...
Besides his facebook group, he also has a blog named "replicas a la apostasía profesional"; i.e., "replies to professional apostasy" (http://replicasalaapostasiaprofesional.blogspot.com), where he basically uploads hundreds of pictures that naive brothers keep sending to him. (Many of them actually believe his facebook page is the official one even though the watchtower has repeteadly said it does not have a social network page and even this guy clearly says that on the top part of his fb page, he says it is a personal project).
Yet, from time to time, this individual wants to give the rest the impression he's a very spiritual brother and that he actually knows things the rest of the "amaharets" don't. My guess is that he probably gets his information from jehovahs-witness.net and extj.com (a forum in Spanish)...
For instance, he states the following in his blog (after tons of pictures on his entry for September 16):
"ATENCION A LA PROXIMA REUNION ANUAL 2013 - OTRA NOVEDAD MUNDIAL!!!!!!!! (no puedo compartirla) Si la anterior refino el entendimiento de las proximas profecias por cumplirse y el papel del esclavo fiel y discreto, y creo una revolucion espiritual de nuestra Fe, el proximo dia 5 octubre recibiremos alimento solo aptos para estomagos espirituales MADUROS, y una gran sorpresa"
Translation:
"PAY ATTENTION TO THE UPCOMING 2013 ANNUAL MEETING - ANOTHER WORLDWIDE NEWS!!!! (I cannot share it) If the last one refined the understading of prophecies that are about to be fulfilled as well as the role of the faithful and discreet slave, and it made a spiritual revolution within our faith, next October 5 we will receive food that is aimed only for MATURE spiritual stomachs, and a big surprise".
Very often he keeps making these kinds of comments in his blog and facebook page but as you can see, his spirituallity dwells upon rumors and pictures regardless of their origin (the one he took from jwfacts is just one of many).
His double standards were recently exposed by an extj.com frequent poster known as Hildebrando (hildeydesa.blogspot.com) as apparently he attended his son's wedding who is not an active jehovah's witness. Actually, they say there were other disfellowshipped individuals in the wedding and he had no trouble attending it. So, this poor man known as Jose Antonio Gutiérrez García, he believes he's the watchtower's appointed virtual knight and even has a Youtube page (http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8vzmS-w1Dxn-1EKsp-VYwg?feature=watch) where he "tries" to respond to typical "apostate" inquiries... yet, most of the times, his virtual defense against "evil" apostates turns out to be a pathetic attempt, nothing else.
I pity him as I pity all of his "readers"...

Me and my family have just moved into a new congregation, and I found working on the congregation market stall a fantastic experience and a brilliant way to get to know my new brothers. It's easy ministry because we are directed not to actively approach anybody but let them come to us, so it's basically an hour of upbuilding spiritual conversation punctuated by the odd "yes it's free you may take one". A great way to draw closer to our bros and sisters
It's a great way to have a natter but not to reach people. In fact, the cart is a great way to have even less impact. Just think in 1 hour HUNDREDS of people will ignore you rather than 20 or so on the door to door work.

My husband works at our local community college, YVCC. The Jdubs have literature tables set up near the HUB or cafateria 3 days a week. A couple of dubs sit there just talking among themselves for 4-5 hrs. He has never seen a student engage them other than a few mentaly challenged students.
Where do these Literature Carts come from? Who makes them? Our local guys could use a make-over to the Cart Look.
