So, god is dead and has left his money to just a few individuals who are now wealthy?

    Okay. That clears things up.

Does the Bible teach that material prosperity is a sign of God's favor? I ask because this is often an argument used by JWs to prove that the WTBTS is THE CHANNEL.

But, what I'd love to get just a straight yes or no answer on is this - does god/love bless people with wealth?

I am an active JW. I have heard this argument before about the Organization. If a fellow witness were to utter such non-sense around me (and they have at times), a serious disscussion using the following verses would ensue:

    • Psalms 51:16-17
    • Luke 18:9-14
    • Mark 12:41-44

To say, in anyway shape or form, that monetary blessings form a basis for proving gods aproval is completely absurd, and ANY witness should know better. I wouldn't care who said, it, CO, DO, GB member, the bible would immediately be opened and such a blasphemous argument would get shattered.

Now I can't possibly speak for, or absolve what has been written in various forms by idiots in the writing department over the last 70 years or whatever. But if you are looking for a straight answer, the answer is; NO, the Bible does not teach that material prosperity is a sign of God's favor; and NO god does not only bless/love people with wealth.

    EDIT:

Not sure if the above counts, I don't think you can classify me as a lurker or apologist, but whatevs.

no, God did NOT die. God is eternal remember.

Love, in this case the father's, continued to excercise its power even in the father's absence when the lawyer enforced his instructions in his will when dispensing his wealth to his son and daughter.

    Outsmartthesystem,

    They are in the YEARBOOK.

    Warehouse,

I agree with you 100%. I hear all kinds of nonsense spouted from the platform, and always by the "stars" of Revelation. I cringe when I think of the dummining of the Organization. No offense, but I do not consider you an apologist. LOL!! You are too logical in your thinking, and challenging an CO or DO is way to rebellious! LOL!!

No. Actually I'm just playing with you, Monsieur. Your "answers" are such non-answers that it's entertaining to repeat them back to you.
