The thinking you describe is not confined to the JW's.
Back in the 80's before the information age If you bought a copy of the world Almanac
and read the history of the world.
It said that mankind just sprung up out of nowhere in Sumer in 2900 BC.
That was prevelant secular thinking in 83.
Now in the year 2013 the prevelant thinking of 1983 is viewed as rediculous by some.
The thing is all of us tend to believe whatever we read, especially if it confirms our bias.
I know many of you on here were just children or not even born in 83, especially the more
vocal ones who know it all.
I know the world almanac in the 80's was not written by JW's.
and what it printed was the common accepted belief of the day.
Two explanations to support the popular secular thinking of the 1980's is the bible
as Christians interpet it is true or
Ancient aliens appeared and shaped humanity and history.
There is lots of evidence supporting both explanations on the net but you have to take your blinders off to see it.
But if your happy with your world view continue on. Makes no difference to me.
