These remarks are chilling. They also sum up the problem of Witnesses in a succint manner. Does anyone notice any further details or aguments? Making the statement does not prove the statement.

Lesson 3 of what? The brochure? BTW, these quotes make me sick. The Leaders of the WTBTS have taken away God's ability to provide Holy Spirit to individuals as he promised. Now, in some undefined and hit and miss manner, God gives it to a corporation? At 2012's AGM, one of the GB [ Slane/bullet-head perhaps] said that there was no hole above the GB's desk, basically making a joke that no one knows how they get their information exactly.

These quotes do sum up the underlying problem with the WT and JWs. The WTBTS, in practice, has claimed the soul right to Holy Spirit and biblical understanding. Individual JWs have given up their rights to a group of men who can't even describe how the receive their insights! Evidently (tm), as DOC stated, the GB/FDS can't get it right either! WTH!?!? Disgusting...

    WT, 1/15/83, p. 27

"As we study the Bible we learn that Jehovah has always guided his servants in an organized way. And just as in the first century there was only one true Christian organization, so today Jehovah is using only one organization. (Ephesians 4:4, 5; Matthew 24:45-47) Yet there are some who point out that the organization has had to make adjustments before, and so they argue: “This shows that we have to make up our own mind on what to believe.” This is independent thinking. Why is it so dangerous?

20 Such thinking is an evidence of pride. And the Bible says: “Pride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling.” (Proverbs 16:18) If we get to thinking that we know better than the organization, we should ask ourselves: “Where did we learn Bible truth in the first place? Would we know the way of the truth if it had not been for guidance from the organization? Really, can we get along without the direction of God’s organization?” No, we cannot!—Compare Acts 15:2, 28, 29; 16:4, 5."

They always quote Romans 10:13-15 I have not got a WT quote. But it's about calling on the name of Jehovah, and the need to preach and teach people. - Kate xx

PS I will try and find one and post it later
