  I don't mean to insult your intelligence but does anyone here

  know what " NO Statute of Limitation" means ? It means there are

  certain crimes that can be reported 30 years after they happened.

  Most of the cases won against the Catholic Church were based on

  evidence brought forward 20 years later or more.

  Because, "the past is the past" does not apply to moral responsibility.

  If you saw someone murdered and saw the murderer bury the body

  and knew who this person was, and kept it a secret,

  you are an ACCOMPLICE and criminally complicit,

  until you come forward and report the crime.

  And making an excuse that "too much time has passed does not

  let you off the hook, you are, by failing to report, making yourself

  an accomplice for the rest of your life and your personal "guilt" does not

  dissolve or absolve your moral and legal responsibility and obligation to report.

  So right here on this thread several "brothers" ex-elders or acting

  Elders have implied they know about such crimes and are refusing to

  report them based on the fact "it was a long time ago" ? Its the "past"?

  Childhood sexual abuse has life altering consequences for the victims

  their past never goes away, it comes up for them in their whole

  self image and the way they are stunted in their personal development

  and relationships with other people.

  I am not mad at villagegirl, I understand where she is coming from, although I also don't know her personal circumstances and her mental settings whilst writing what she wrote. At the same time there are details to my account that I cannot and will not disclose on a public forum, as that is NOT the purpose of my thread and will neither help the victims or punish the perpetrator(s). I also think that villagegirl actually didn't properly read my OP and/or didn't get the point of why I was writing this (this might be due to my language limitations and the limitations of a board like this where you can't see the person and therefore one element of judgement is missing, albeit a very important one in human communication). Sometimes problems like this one are more complex and the "obvious" frontal approach makes things worse (especially for the victims!).

  Can total justice be made? No, as for that, these children should have not gone through this terrible experience at all. As some of you know, in a pursuit to punish the criminal, often the victims have to go through a terrible experience again and again (you mentioned a child abuse victim in your post by name and even say that she is on Facebook! How in gods earth is that helping her? I don't believe that you or I or anybody else has the right to expose someone publicly! THAT is not right.)

  villagegirl: By no means have I said that the Nicaraguans have "no intelligence" (WHERE did you read this??? You are not even reading what I am writing, but the first to throw the first stone!). I LOVE Nicaraguans and still maintain close friendship with many of them (even visiting the country AFTER leaving the cult to help out with some things that I will also not disclose here).

  What I said is that their Justice system is corrupt beyond any measure! I will write another installment here (in this case with some names) where you will see that one Circuit Overseer abused over 15 children over a time span of 7-8 years, known to the authorities and going unpunished (I will tell you EXACTLY how he did it and how the Watchtower didn't do a thing either). Actually you can get away with murder by simply bribing the Police and all the way up to the Judge! You talk so freely about "international law" and "Justice systems" that simply DO NOT WORK. Period. You can all day long cite the Charter of Human rights to me and I will tell you again and again that it only exists ON PAPER. The Watchtower helds (had) tremendous power in other countries outside the US/Canada - you will never believe me what they could get away with! I have seen, with my own eyes, how Special Pioneers that left "the truth" ended up being persecuted by the Police because of simple "Watchtower Power" wielded against them.

  You don't have to believe me. I am truly trying in my earnest efforts to, maybe, open your eyes to the crude truth. I don't know how long you lived in Lebanon, but maybe you know that the world is full of misery and that it affects REAL people in very REAL ways. Lawyers are something for rich people in Western countries. Sorry for popping your Bubble.

  Had you contacted the authorities with what you know, they would have closed down the Bethel Branch and thrown the WT out of the country.

  This statement is one example. Very sweet and naive too. Sorry, that is not how things work. Really not. They would rather jail the victims then throwing the WT out of the country! The WT had close knit political connections in the country (even becoming getting Misión Internacional status - with diplomatic immunity - you can read that up on their Yearbook about Nicaragua. No secret.)

  Outlaw and some other members of this board know a bit more and that should suffice.

  Thank you all for reading and commenting. I also thank villagegirl for her energic posture, we need anyone and everyone on board and there are many ways to face the WT Society. Hopefully we can continue to join our forces and to support each other.

  Pill - I named the names of ELDERS who were involved

  and there were other Elders on that Judicial committee as well.

  Barron and Richard remain Elders and have probably heard

  dozens of sexual abuse cases and never reported one single one

  to the police as the little "secret elders instruction book" orders them

  not to. The mother of the children never reported her husband either

  and let the WT dictate the future of her children. Mother's often know

  their children are being sexually abused and do nothing, she never

  reported and remains a loyal WT supporter. David Mochart was never

  jailed, he lives near an elementary school , called Franklin Elementary

  in Santa Barbara, and no one knows now, he is a pedophile.

  I never mentioned the children's names.

  Most of the children married and have different names.

  You need to contact the lawyers who handle these pedophile cases

  against the WT and give them specific information, the name of the

  Circuit Overseer, District Overseer, JC Elders, a copy of the elder book

  any records you have, any policies, any evidence of corruption, police

  bribes you mentioned, all this information needs to go public.

  Because it is only public exposure that will stop this.

  I just want to interject, villagegirl, I don't really think it was proper to mention the alleged victims of the molester. I know I don't need to explain to you that now his name will show up in search engine results, linked to a crime committed against people who may not want to come forward and talk about it, and who may have families of their own now. Since I don't think it actually does any good to identify them anyway, I think those identities should be removed by a moderator.

  I did not mention the names of the victims.

  I gave you the name of the Molester, this was

  a sensation in Santa Barbara when it happened, in that

  every witness I knew knew about it. And it was 30 years ago

  and they announced why you were being disfellowshipped

  in those days. The victims were not males no "him" involved

  except the perpetrator , the father of five who molested his girls.

  Naming the Molestors is a way to protect other children.

  If a moderator wants to take down that particular post they can.

  I cannot now modify it and remove the mother's name, but she

  should have reported it as well to the police and did not.

  The Elders in Santa Barbara, many of them invlved 30 years ago

  are serving as active Elders to this day and are well known.

  They should have reported David Machart / molester,

  to the police and did not do so at the explicit instructions of the

  Governing Body and its secret Elder's Handbook of Rules.

  I looked for David Charles Machart, oops I said it again, on the

  registered sex offenders site, but he wasn't there. I then called

  the dashing, inherited wealthy and 'handsome and knows it',

  Elder, Barron Eric Spafford, married with charming wife and

  married daughter. Barron said in effect it was old news,

  and he is does not have that "sphere of influence"

  and is not sure where the original judicial commitee on the

  David Machart case were exactly, missing apparently,

  said he was in effect, powerless. Baron's main hope was

  he would be going to Dubia for a photo shoot to the wealthy.

  Eldering is a hobby, I believe. A company man.

  His wife has been faithfully highlighting Watchtower articles

  for 35 years. Having confused that activity with Christianity.

  Charming couple really. Since the Machart case there have been

  suicides and all the child molestations he needs to hide from

  the congregation and mainly, the police. That takes a special skill,

  and more suicides and those kind of bothersome messes the

  poor generally generate in the congregation. Best handled by ignoring them.

  And lots of shunnings to orchestrate, mine for one, well you know,

  the work of Jehovah's people and his organization, led by the Governing Body.

  It would be great if someone could interest an investigative journalist in looking at all these stories worldwide. I think you could make a pretty good case that no matter what legal system is involved, the common denominator is the Watchtower and their secret instructions and manipulations of the legal system, their judicial committees and their focus on covering up their involvement and complete lack of consideration for the victims. They put the Catholic church to shame, they at least recognize they have a problem.
