New ExJW closed group forming on Facebook

    yeah--i just applied to join--41 members wordwide---probably more xjw FBook groups than that. i can see all the members of this secret group.

    i didnt know about the FB rules about having only 1 a/c. most of us are breaking that rule--arent we? my fake name is stan livedeath--but most know my real name---bigmac.

    The last time this came up I took a look at my own privacy settings. Facebook members who want to keep some activity private must review their own settings as well. Please don't use me as an example. I am not at risk of being DF'd and I'm pretty open. For instance, I want targetted advertising.

    • Who can see my stuff?
      • Who can see your future posts? Friends
      • Use Activity Log Review all your posts and things you're tagged in
      • Limit Past Posts Limit the audience for posts you've shared with friends of friends or Public?
    • Who can contact me?
      • Who can send you friend requests? Everyone
      • Whose messages do I want filtered into my Inbox? Basic Filtering
    • Who can look me up?
      • Who can look you up using the email address you provided? Everyone
      • Who can look you up using the phone number you provided? Everyone
      • Do you want other search engines to link to your timeline? On

      Timeline and Tagging Settings

      • Who can add things to my timeline?
        • Who can post on your timeline? Friends
        • Review posts friends tag you in before they appear on your timeline?
        • Off
      • Who can see things on my timeline?
        • View As Review what other people see on your timeline
        • Who can see posts you've been tagged in on your timeline?
        • Friends of Friends
        • Who can see what others post on your timeline? Friends

    Given the number of people that have been outed just by revealing a small piece of personal infomation on this site should warn off any faders.

    For some reason there are many active Witnesses that constantly follow ex-Witness groups and sites looking for clues to identify faders. If being "outed" is a concern for you, always be very careful what you post and where.

    Facebook tweaked its privacy settings Thursday and will no longer allow users to completely hide from others searching for them on the site.

    In other words, with few exceptions, we're all now searchable on Facebook.

    I joined, set notifications to ZERO, still got plasters on my wall of this or that person joining, and dropped.
