Well the one texting my wife is the leader of the elders, is that now called the CO? So I guess I would have to go over his head and to HQ?

If an elder started texting my wife, I would write a small note telling him to stop, attach it to a brick, then deliver it through his car window.

Let him explain that one away.

The "leader" of the local elders in the congregation is now the "Coordinator of the Body of Elders". COBE

The "CO" refers to the Circuit Overseer, the first level of actual WT management (paid employee) that visits each Cong twice per year, and wields lots of power over the elders. His primary duty is to protect the interests of the WTS. Last thing he wants is to see is a Congregation (and perhaps the WTS) drug into a scandal or lawsuit in some divorce proceeding. It's in writing that elders should not be meeting with or calling (or texting) members of the opposite sex.

Elders have in the past talked to me about my husband. cornered me at meeting. And they have talked to my husband about me. When we wised up and avoided them, or did not answer the questions, I found the elders wifes would want to be friendly and then start asking the questions their husband had asked. Now the two wifes who did this do not speak to me, they all seem to think we are in the wrong because we do not cooperate with the elders, by telling them all our business.

It is wrong to talk to a sister alone in any form, they know it, but the rules change to suit each elder. May be you should ask the elders wife how she feels about her husband texting you wife, is he married?
