I've sent this to my local news station.
Gawd, my blood is curdling over this.

I sent it to The Seattle Times and to the NBC affiliate here, KING TV. I also faxed it to The Seattle Weekly, the small paper that ran an article Skeletons in the Closet mentioning Bill, on April 25.

Seeker, you are a little optimistic.
You are forgetting - the org WANTS to be persecuted. It is how they keep members - by convincing them they are in the end of the system of things.
I honestly expect a 'new light' article to come out very soon that explains that the world political systems turning on babylon the great doesn't neccessarily mean utterly destroying her (as was once thought), but instead just calling her members into court to question their religious policies.
See, then, the watchtower coming under fire for the same problems would be fullfilment of the prophecy regarding the world's religions being turned on, then 'gods one, true religion'.

BTW: I removed the repeated bits from the post above which is what Bill posted. The post that I removed earlier was something *different* which had the additional information which I do not believe should be given out or left to Bill to do so.
God "directs" the organization.
Therefore, the organization's policies are directed by God.
Therefore, this policy ,that allows harm to come to children, was directed by God.
This policy is now causing discord and shame on God's organization.
Therefore, God brought shame on his own organization.
Does anyone think that this rationale is possibly insulting to God?
As for "persecution," isn't the WTS persecuting the victims, Bill, Barbara, and anyone with a mind and mouth........
soon-to-be aired NBC Dateline investigative report
Does anybody know when this is scheduled to air? I'd like to record it.

Reuters
The New York Times
The New York Post
The Wall Street Journal
The Chicago Sun Times
The Chicago Tribune
The Los Angeles Times
The San Francisco Examiner
The San Francisco Sentinel
The San Jose Mercury News

C'mon guys - a trumpet has sounded!
I'm in a small town. We only have 2 local newpapers, but I faxed this press release to both of them.
1. There need not be two eyewitnesses; multiple accusations are sufficient to make a conviction even if there are no eye-witnesses; this is said and written in letters and at elders' meetings. As to what various congregations do upon that, to that I have no comment, but that is what they are told to act upon.- old hippie
That's what is in writing - but some elders interpret as they wish, as you brought out. This exact scenario happened to my daughter. The man's daughter came forth after leaving home (10 yrs) and, in writing, accused him of years of incest. My daughter, unknown to her, (through me) came forth with molestation accusations against him. The elders called the Society, were told to not further investigate the matter. They didn't. Both girls had been previously df'd - he remained a brother in good standing for many years. Thus, the "two witnesses of different incidents" ideal was kicked to death by these fine elders.
Mr. and Mrs. Pandello may present evidence or witnesses on their behalf at this hearing.
attorneys are not permitted to represent individuals at congregational judicial committee hearings.Imho, a person could have a witness (yes, even a friend) who happens to be an attorney - who could be definitely invited to be a witness for any of the persecuted persons, particularily if they have pertinent information......just not "representing" them in that particular issue.
