  From an organization that has literally billions of dollars in real estate and millions if not billions of ready-to-access cash in various bank accounts, WT has a lot of nerve to say in paragraph 7:

  .....'Paul wrote to Timothy that 'the love of money is a root of all sorts of injurious things'. The apostle pointed out that "by reaching out for this love some have been led astray from the faith and have stabbed themselves all over with many pains."'

  WT has no freedom to counsel others on the matter of money. Clearly, WT is the one guilty of having a lot a love of money!

  How can they bring up topics so boldy in Yesterday's Watchtower Study Lesson? The Watchtower writers got some strange fortitude, they deception back-fired in Romania and Russia when the Waffling Doctrines stumbled no small amount of brothers, what percentage of the Romanians left the Organzation after feeling like the Watchtower's current beliefs on the Superior Authorities was a Hoax and with great courage the Romanian Brothers broke all ties with the Watchtower of New York.

  HOAXES, scams, and deception are all too common in the present system of things. This should not surprise us. The Bible makes it plain that Satan the Devil is an accomplished deceiver, and he is the ruler of this system. (1 Tim. 2:14; 1 John 5:19) As we approach the end of this wicked system, Satan’s anger grows because he has only “a short period of time” left. (Rev. 12:12) So we can expect increased duplicity on the part of those who are influenced by the Devil, especially toward those who promote true worship.”

  Riley: How can they bring up topics so boldy in Yesterday's Watchtower Study Lesson?

  That is the $64 Million Dollar Question!

  Do they KNOW what they are doing or are they really completely under the spell of their own beliefs as VICTIMS?

  This has been debated at great length here.

  One can never really know the motivations of another person. It'd be telling to get even one of the GB members to sit down for an honest chat (like THAT will ever happen) and pin them down on a few things.

  My personal take is that they are completely aware of what they are doing. They know they are manipulative. They know they lie. They know they revise their own history and deliberately leave out unflattering information. But somehow they justify it all to themselves and really seem to believe that they are making Jehovah happy.

  They are clearly delusional.

  They are crooks doubling down.

  They have long long ago 'sold out'.

  In their minds they have nothing to lose.

  Whether they are actually deluded enough to think they are crooks for God, who knows.

  I will say this though - a few billion on the asset sheet and a quick-trigger d'f policy is enough to make 8 old men ballsy.

  And then there is that illustration of a JW family on page 10; a father (no doubt an elder) with his robot stepford wife sitting next him as he preps his two sons for the ministry. The caption reads: 'Good preparation and a share in the misistry can help us to avoid being quickly shaken from our reason.'

  As I view that picture, I can't help but relate back to our circuit of JW families I've know over the years and how many youth have gone their own way, either disfellowshipped, inactive or simply faded out-of-site ... in other words 'shaken from their reason'.

  This organization has an ugly past and present of failed marriages, broken families, parents shunning children and children shunning parents.

  Sadly, united families in WT world is a pipe dream. You may find some still in-tact. But for the most part very few happy families among Jehovah's Witnesses. For good reason the GB are giving out the warning to JWs ......'AVOID BEING QUICKLY SHAKEN FROM YOUR REASON'!

  I know waaay too many men who are serving as elders, many as COBEs through-out the circuit, being used on DC and CA parts who have failed miserably as fathers and others who have failed as husbands and yet still being used as role models.....What a joke!

  What were “the traditions” that they had been taught? Certainly not those held by false religion and promoted as if they were as valuable as what is found in the Scriptures...Such teachings came from a reliable source and could indeed be trusted.

  "This magazine and other Bible-based publications" are very clearly considered "as valuable as what is found in the Scriptures" by the authors of this article. But of course..."Such teachings came from a reliable source and could indeed be trusted."

  The only thing we can rely on is the constant changes, hence the need to "keep up-to-date with our present understanding". They are the theological Windows Update.
