JW's Anti-Gay position puts them in the axis of ignorance

  The anti-gay position is mostly based on religious and political beliefs fueled by long held cultural bias.

  Religious and political dogma if it goes unchallenged eventually becomes truth.

  In Christianity, Islam, and the Jewish tradition, to name a few, slavery was justified, the treatment of women justified, the persecution of the Jews and the continuing persecution of homosexuality are or were all justified by their religion.

  Religion provides a license to indulge our prejudices and bigotry.

  The opposite of the Anti-gay position is not the pro-gay position but the pro-humanity position

  The really bad part about society accepting homosexuality is that homosexuals no longer try to go straight by getting married to a woman and having children. Since homosexuality has a genetic component this means that there will be fewer homosexuals.

  How will broadway musicals, balet, and fashion survive when that gene pool drys up?

  I am not anti - gay at all. I love people who are caring and thoughtful whether they are gay or not. I do not like being around spiteful hateful people whether they are gay or not. I am surprised at the comments of a couple of posters. What if your child was gay, how would you react?

  I have two kids and if either of them turned out to be gay I would love them just the same they are my children, but if they didn't I would love them too. My love is unconditional. I do believe many are born that way and they don't have a choice about their sexual orientation.

  Unless, of course, the occasional instances of homosexuality reduce competition over females in a population with a higher-than-optimal-volume of males.

  The reduction in sexual competition would arguably reduce antagonism within the group, which would, in turn, foster more amity and cooperation, which, in turn, increases the population's chances of passing on its genes to another generation.

  There's more to survival than just the ability to breed.

  Like JWfacts said, you cannot appeal to nature to say homosexuality is wrong, as almost every animal species has homosexual behaviour and relationships. However you also cannot appeal to nature as a guide to human behavior because in the animal kingdom there is also necrcophilia, pedophilia, gang rape, chimpanzees and dolphins murder each other etc.

  must really love those countries.' unsurprisingly the majority of the countries in the darkest area are muslim countries which suggests that Jehovah and Allah are one and the same when it comes to hating gay people.

  May I ask the reason for your extreme views? Have you been damaged in some way by someone of the same sex? For example, by abuse. Or, did you have a marriage partner that turned out to be same-sex attracted?

  That could be the case, but not neccessarily.

  Since, it is unclear precisly how any genetic cause for same sex attraction works, it could be that it may be a common gene (or, switch) that only 'works' in some circumstances.
