Hey fake fading. Isn't it funny how Jehovah is using "apostates " like us as MS. Goes to show you how much Jehovahs spirit is with this organization. At least you're not giving a talk on the assembly while carrying on an affair. I've seen that before. Plus there are "apostates" at the highest levels of the organization leaking confidential videoes and letters. On this forum you will learn things before the congregation does. We all knew about the assembly changes in advance.

kneehighmiah - Yeah it's pretty funny. When I got named an MS, the weekend just before that I had gotten so drunk my wife almost told the elders on me lol.
Hey good to know about "new light" before it comes out! -

Londo111 - Where to start answering the question. Just EVERYTHING. I think it takes time. Years before I had seen some stuff on the internet but I told myself it wasn't true, I continued with my delusion of the "truth". Years later maybe 1 year ago, I started to do more research that lasted for maybe only a week. The evidence against the Watchtowe was, I guess you can say, "true", I thought to myself, "surely this is Satan's trap trying to take me away from the Truth!" So I stopped completely and again continued with my delusion. So then again a couple of months back I started doing more and more research. Watching and reading more "cult" like behaviors of other cults/religions. All the irrefutable facts were now right there, in front of me, impossible to deny. I asked myself, "Should I continue with my delusion or just ACCEPT the facts and the truth about this religion? That I have been lied to my entire life and made to believe something that isn't true." This was very hard to accept but I had no other choice because of all the evidence and irrefutable facts. So I accepted the TTATT. At the time I would call it, "the truth that I once thought was true isn't true". I just had to be honest with myself and accept the facts no matter how hard.
Like Carl Sagan says (brackets are mine): "It is far better to grasp the [TTATT] as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."

As I am married to a (recently exited) witness, I am fond of all my fellow "Unbelieving Mates". Here's my story of the twelve year exit. (I was never a Witness by the way, I simply married one! LOL.)

Welcome! you will find many here in your same boat. I am a recently stepped down MS With a 4 year old and another due in a month. I am slowing down in JW activities. My main mission in life is trying to wake up my wife and get our family out of this cult. Congratulations on waking up! It is no small feat. Keep posting here and learning more and more. We are here for you to support you through this ok? Pm me anytime if you want to talk. You will probably need to step down from pioneering soon to preserve your sanity. Then you can work on a "planned incomplete" so you can stop being a MS. It took me over a year but it worked for me! Look forward to your contributions to the forum, and getting to know you. I am from buffalo, ny. Just know you are not alone. Congratulations on your awakening and good luck in your journey. You will have ups and downs but just know the sun will come up again and you are better off knowing TTaTt no matter how hard it is at times :). -BU2B
