    Welcome BF,

I understand about not having patience to fade; I could never have done it. Just be careful and keep your anti-JW rants to yourself if you can. The Borg can be nasty if they ascribe the Scarlet Letter to you. Welcome. There are a lot of very smart people on this forum. Some - not so much. Kinda like society in general.

@DJS Thank you. Yes I know I need to be careful; I've already slipped up a few times.

And thanks for the warning re: the forum! As my eyes have been opened that the world is not the wicked place I've been taught, I'm becoming more aware that the actions and words of a minority can affect the stereotype of the majority. Don't worry, I know not all apostates are the same. ;)

    Welcome Bluefluff!!

Well done for taking the step to join this forum. The first of many steps for you, I hope.

You could always pursue the "depression and anxiety" route and ask to stand down. A visit to your GP would also be beneficial, just to add to the story.

You do what is right for you, though.

All the best and keep smiling.

To open PM's you have to click the little envelope in the top right hand corner (next to your screen name). It doesn't always work first time, you may see lots of code, in which case come out of the message window and click again.

    Welcome Bluefluff,

I am in the UK too. Well you have got a lot of coming out to do. When ones realise that being gay is not compatible with being a JW, the prejudice around this fact makes it inevitable that you learn TTATT. WT is a homophobic organisation this is just not on. All the best with your exit and coming out as gay.

Moving far away can be a good idea, what about your parents though? Are you close to them?

@quellycatface. Have already done that! My responsibilities have been removed but they're reluctant to take me off as an MS. But I think it may be better this way as announcement removing me as an MS would make me memorable again....

@Kate - I'm not especially close to my parents, awful as that sounds. I'm hoping that coming out to them as gay will have more of an impact on them than telling them the TTATT will. They're too blinded (and I've already tried). However they do have emotions so I think appealing to them on an emotional level is the only way they'll understand...
