It sounds like your MIL loves you and is a nice woman. She just wants you all to be "united in pure worship" and doesn't understand that there is no such thing as "pure worship," not in JW's anyway.

Thats what I love about comming here. Often, I see people arguing and bringing forward points and arguments and truely listening to one another. With a JW, you always have the yes, but.... and they go on trying to prove their points.

ECAN6 I know your pain. but you have your wife on your side . KEEP HER HAPPY AND LOVE HER... screw all the rest of them you don't live or sleep with them. my father thrown me into the street at 35 years old after getting divorced and having no were to go. all over the wt and I was never a jw. I slept in the b ack of my car for 7 months to save up for an apt. in the freezing cold. my father did not really talk to me for close to 20 years because I EXposed the wt. in the laST YEAR he takes me for lunch etc. and talks to me all the time. And I hold me course cursing the for the LIARS the are. I fact I had it out with him the other day with him about 1914... he called 2 days later as asked me to treat him for lunch. it was his birthday last week. and I went over how the wt is full of shit on birthdays......
